Daily World Cup Betting Podcasts, from Racing Diary

Its very exciting, not least the Argentina v Germany game at 3pm. I love the World Cup and there is some interesting World Cup Betting to get stuck in to today!

Where do you start on a day like this. It could be a tale of two games, the highlight being Argentina and Germany with Paraguay and Spain possibly looking like a low scoring affair. The beauty is you never know!

Germany beat England but Argentina look a different proposition, with their we will score one more than you approach. The England team are back now, on holiday and we ask the question, did the country over react?

So here are Saturdays games and best odds….

15:00 Argentina (11/8) D  (9/4)Germany (5/2)
Argentina for me, there is value in the betting either way….

19:30 Paraguay (15/2)D  (31/10)Spain (1/2)
Could be a dull one, under 2.5 Goals a cert for me….

There are some interesting world cup betting specials for Saturday too (from Stan James)

Mondays World Cup Betting Update, Podcast and England Post Mortem

Free World Cup Betting Podcasts

Daily World Cup Betting Podcasts, from Racing Diary

England are out of the World Cup, hammered, humiliated and beaten 4-1 by Germany. Absolutely shocking. We also look at the USA’s exit to Ghana 2-1 in Extra-Time on Saturday. What about goal-line technology? World Cup Betting Update for Mondays games….

It appears that Franz Beckenbaur was right, how woeful were England, we won one game against Slovenia, drew with USA and lost to Algeria, wow. Worth £6m a year for the manager?

so we wait another 2 years and try again in Euro2012, assuming we qualify. I wonder if Capello will remain in charge? The bookies are already bettting on the next England manager,

‘We go 1/3 that the next England manager will be English’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.’At least, if he isn’t let’s hope he can speak English.’ Capello actually said he thought we played well against Germany. Need some new specs, and take that referee with you I say.

I hope we can now enjoy a good World Cup and see more goals. Holland and Brazil are the star teams in action on Monday.

Reaction To England’s defeat….

BOOKMAKERS have been saved from a potential £50million+ payout by England’s humiliating exit from the World Cup. And William Hill, who made Fabio 7/4 to be gone by midnight after the match, are already betting on Capello’s successor, and make Harry Redknapp 7/4 favourite. ‘We go 1/3 that the next England manager will be English’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.’At least, if he isn’t let’s hope he can speak English.’
'As a result the bookmaking industry was staring down the barrel of its biggest payout ever of over £50m' said William Hill spokesman Graham Sharpe.
'Even the disallowed goal now looks like a hollow excuse after England's abject collapse in the second half and we are now optimistic that Fabio will have the decency to quit'
HILLS ARE 5/4 THAT CAPELLO IS GONE BY THE END OF THE WORLD CUP.
HILLS OFFER 1/3 THE NEXT MANAGER WILL BE ENGLISH, 9/4 NOT.

WILLIAM HILL - NEXT PERMANENT ENGLAND MANAGER:

Harry Redknapp..7/4
Roy Hodgson..7/2
Stuart Pearce..7/1
Martin O'Neill..10/1
Jose Mourinho..12/1
Sam Allardyce ...12/1
Arsene Wenger...14/1
Steve Bruce.. 16/1
Mark Hughes...16/1

Wednesdays World Cup Betting Podcast and Preview, 23 June

Daily World Cup Betting Podcasts, Wednesday

It is an interesting day on Wednesday of World Cup betting, final round matches of the group stages featuring England and Germany, and we have a World Cup first, brothers on opposite teams at the World Cup.

England have to win, if they do they go through and regroup, defeat means they are out of the World Cup, it is unthinkable but there was no encouraging signs against Algeria. The USA could win the group, it will certainly be easier for England if they win the group.

Germany got beat by Serbia, they need to beat Ghana to win the group, but there will be two brothers in this game on opposing teams.  Kevin Prince-Boateng has a German mother and a Ghanaian father. His paternal uncle is a former Ghana international. He has one Sister, Avelina, and two half brothers, Kevin-Prince and George Boateng (not the current Hull City midfielder). After the foul Kevin-Prince committed on Michael Ballack in a FA Cup final match between Portsmouth and Chelsea in May of 2010, Jérôme decided to break off contact with his half brother.

That must be a World Cup First. However no disguising that England have to win. Can they win? Here are Wednesdays games and best odds….

15:00 Slovenia (7)v (10/3)England (1/2)
England have to win, my tip 3-0

15:00 USA (1)v (11/4)Algeria (3)
USA at evens have to be a good bet…

19:30 Australia (7/2)v (11/4)Serbia (10/11)
Serbia are bet of the day at 10/11

19:30 Ghana (6)v (7/2)Germany (4/7)
Could be a good game, I am on Germany in a double with Serbia

World Cup Betting Preview and Podcast, Thursday

Free World Cup Betting Podcasts

Daily World Cup Betting Podcasts, Thursday

It’s dull so far, the World Cup needs more goals, when will they come? Here is Thursdays World Cup Betting Preview and Podcast in association with YouWin.com.

Its a German conspiracy! The Jabulani ball being used in South Africa for the World Cup has been widely criticised by players. It has been used in Germany since January, who are the highest scoring team in the World Cup so far?

WAYNE Rooney is the man punters most trust to score for England in a penalty shoot-out, according to a survey of punters. England play on Friday.

So what about Thursday’s games, we have 3 matches:

12:30 Argentina (1/2) D (7/2) South Korea (8) View all odds
Lets hope this is a goal fest, for me 2-1 to Korea, but the Argies should win.

15:00 Greece (7/2) D (12/5) Nigeria (1) View all odds
Greece are dull, boring and awful to watch, for me it is a simple Nigeria win, hopefull 3-0. Greece are poor and may spoil this one.

19:30 France (11/8) D (23/10) Mexico (5/2) View all odds
I want France to win this and to play well, they could do if the manager gets the tactics right.

Spain are out to 5/1 for the World Cup with Stan James after their 1-0 defeat against Switzerland this afternoon.

Head of PR Charlie McCann: ” The stage was set for the European Champions to put their mark on the tournament but not for the first time on the World stage they froze. Their race isn’t run of course but the bookies benefit that is currently the 2010 World Cup reached a new high or low in Durban today depending on whichever side of the fence you are looking from. When we decided on our offer of money back on the outright market as a free bet if Spain won the trophy it would be fair to say we never envisaged that they wouldn’t even qualify from the group stage.”

World Cup 2010 Outright ~ Tournament Outright-Revised, (place terms: 1/2 the first 2)

Daily World Cup Betting Podcasts,Wednesday

On Wednesday we get our first glimpse of World Cup Betting Favourites Spain, in action and get your ear plugs out the South African’s play again. World Cup Betting Tips from Racing Diary….

We have discovered a conspiracy, the World Cup Ball, made by a German company has been used in the German League since January. No wonder the Germans looked so good using it! Makes you wonder doesn’t it?

So today’s World Cup Betting games are;
12:30 Honduras (11/2) D (3)Chile (4/7)

15:00 Spain (2/7) D (5)Switzerland (14)

19:30 South Africa (9/4) D (9/4)Uruguay (7/5)

Chile look good things to win, but hold your bets, listen to the Podcast first. They have a key player rated as 50/50 to start.

Spain are just class through and through and will win readily then in my view South Africa and Uruguay could play out a dull 0-0 draw.

Tuesdays Daily World Cup Betting Preview and Podcast

Free World Cup Betting Podcasts

Daily World Cup Betting Podcasts, Tuesday

It could be a day of World Cup Betting on goals galore! It is Tuesday and we see Brazil in action, in one of three World Cup Betting opportunities. Sven’s Ivory Coast take on Portugal and New Zealand could concede more goals than the Aussies against Slovenia.

Betting Advice….
New Zealand v Slovakia

The betting suggests that this should be a routine victory for Slovakia. However, at this stage, I don’t know enough about either team to back any outcome with any degree of confidence.

Most people will think, when they see the two teams that are playing, that its going to be a poor game.
I think the opposite, it should be a cracking game – ok, there’s no big names, we don’t expect too much flair – but it should be a passionate and entertaining game.

because of this, instead of match odds, I’ve decided to look at stats markets and supremacies, where the market has made them low – in my mind falsely.

I can see an attacking game, plenty of action, and having seen the corners count in previous game being a lot higher than expected, I’m going for:
OVER 10 CORNERS @ 6/5

Portugal v Ivory Coast
On paper this will be most peoples idea of the most entertaining match of the 1st round. I feel we could be disappointed (but I hope I’m wrong) Sven is of course in charge of the African side. I have had in my mind from a few months ago that I wanted to take on Portugal at every stage in this World Cup – but the loss of Drogba puts me off backing Ivory Coast to win today. If he plays I will back for a win though!

I punted and traded on all Portugal’s games over the last 6 months, and they have looked poor. Sluggish, lacking ideas and…well, a little boring
names like Salamon Kalou, Dindane, Gervinho arent going to put the fear of god into these players like Drogba does, but they can do an effective job.

I take:
SCORE DRAW @ 4/1

Brazil v Korea

Not much to say here, surely its just a question of by how many Brazil win by? I take, to small stakes (so that I can sit back and enjoy Fabiano having a blinder without to much sweating)

Brazil to win 4-0 @ 15/2
Brazil to win 5-0 @ 14/1

Mondays World Cup Betting Preview and Podcast

Free World Cup Betting Podcasts

Daily World Cup Betting Podcasts, Monday

After an action packed weekend here is Mondays World Cup Betting Preview for Monday and World Cup Podcast on the day we see Holland and defending champions Italy in the World Cup.

So it kicks off at 12:30 with Netherlands v Denmark. Live on ITV. Netherlands are a decent side and Denmark will struggle in my view. Denmark were the lowest scoring side to qualify from the Euro Zone with just 16 goals in 10 games, couple that with the fact that Holland conceded fewer goals than any other team in the same qualifying zone (just 2 goals in their 8 qualifying matches) and you’ve got the ingredients for a win to nil if, you think the qualifying stats are serious guide to performance on the big stage. I’d also have a punt on the World Cup’s favourite score so far 1-0.

Best odds for Netherlands v Denmark….

Then Japan v Cameroon would be a no bet game for me, but here are the best odds for that game…

At 7:30 Italy Kick off their defence of the World Cup. Italy have been written off by some people and could go the way of France, who were frustrating to watch and looked like a team lacking ideas or drive. But despite odds of around 18-1 to win the World Cup, the Italians were undefeated in qualifying and still boast a lot of ageing world class players (again similar to France).

But Paraguay were very good in qualifying, finishing just a point behind Brazil and Chile in the South American group and I fancy them to nick a point off the Italians here, so I’m going to go for the draw here.

Saturdays World Cup Preview and Podcast

Saturday, there are three games at the World Cup in South Africa but only one of those really matters England v USA. This is a big day for the Three Lions, the whole of England are behind the team, can they win? Will they win, what about today’s bets? Here is Saturdays betting preview….

World Cup 2010

England kick off today...

Todays fixtures….World Cup Matches and best betting odds

12:30 South Korea (2) Draw (11/5)Greece (7/4) ITV

3:00 Argentina (1/2) Draw (7/2)Nigeria (15/2) BBC

19:30 England (8/15)v (10/3)USA (13/2) ITV

South Korea v Greece

- under 2.5 will be popular with the big hitting punters, but the price reflects the chances (as low as 4/9) and I will pass
- everyone knows how Greece play – dour, defensive, ugly football
- South Korea no great shakes, but I fancy them to nick it

my bet: South Korea to win by 1 goal @ 4/1

Argentina v Nigeria

- Messi, some argue that he is the best player in the world. For me, there is no argument, he simply IS the best player in the world, and the best for some years.
- contrast in styles. Technical brilliance of the Argentinians v pace and strength of the super eagles.
- Maradona – for many years a hero to the Argentinians, he has quickly turned into a clown figure – due to his antics off the pitch – and also his brutally exposed lack of coaching skills.
- Nigeria, not as gifted but a great technical manager – Lars Lagerback – could take advantage of Maradona’s inexperience.
- Argentina, awesome up front, exposed at the back

my bets:
both teams to score LUMP at Evens
small bet on shock win for Nigeria @ 15/2

USA v England

I guess this one doesn’t need much discussion. England to outclass the yanks. Straight to the bet.

my bets:

England to win by 2 or more goals at 6/4
Frank Lampard man of the match @ 10/1 Settled as the Budweiser Man of the Match award on Fifa.com
