The anonymous punter who was looking to land the totescoop6 bonus fund drew a blank on Saturday as their selection Coasting finished unplaced behind 33/1 winner Black Spirit in the Coral Challenge Handicap at Sandown.
Black Spirit’s victory knocked the majority of Scoop6 players out of this weekend’s bet and there were only eight tickets left going into the fifth leg which was the Etherington Handicap at Beverley. However, Stonehaugh’s victory at 8/1 means that there is a rollover of £72,899 in the win fund whilst there is now £177,910 in the bonus fund.
‘Coasting couldn’t do the business for our anonymous punter at Sandown but Black Spirit’s late winning run meant that not only was the bonus not won but the Scoop6 itself rolls over and a single winner next weekend could well be playing for around £250,000 in total,’ said totepool spokesman George Primarolo.
A total of £208,234 was bet into the pools this afternoon and there were 271 winners of the place dividend, each of whom picks up £153.70.
