Only two legs of totescoop6 run after Newbury abandonment

There were 71 winners of this afternoon’s totescoop6 who each land £1333.10 after the abandonment of Newbury meant that only two legs of the bet were run.

A total of £252,914 was bet into the today’s pool and 6,603 tickets were still left in after Hey Big Spender had taken the totesport.com Handicap Chase at Warwick at 17/2. However, Snake Charmer’s shock victory at 33/1 in the Tom Grant 18th Birthday Handicap Hurdle meant that the winners pick up £1333.10 for a double that returned only 322/1 at starting price.

‘Despite only two legs of this weekend’s Scoop6 being run, Snake Charmer’s win at 33/1 meant that punters found the bet relatively difficult to land but his victory landed a nice four figure sum for anyone who took a chance on Milton Harris’ gelding,’ said totepool spokesman George Primarolo.

With only two legs run, there were understandably plenty of winners of the place fund and 11,760 tickets pick up £5.40 each. None of the 71 winners are eligible to go for the bonus fund as not all legs of the Scoop6 were run.

Scoop6 Not Won on Saturday

Eric’s Charm rolled back the years to take the totesport Masters Handicap Chase at Sandown this afternoon but in doing so he shattered the dreams of the twenty-one totescoop6 punters who had made it through to the final leg.

A total of £219,966 was bet into the pool this afternoon which means there is now a rollover in the win fund of £76,988 whilst the bonus pot has swelled to £114,403.

‘The majority of Scoop6 punters had written Eric’s Charm off but the thirteen-year-old veteran proved them all wrong with a gutsy display at Sandown to leave just under £200,000 in the win and bonus funds,’ said totepool spokesman George Primarolo.

There was a happier post-script though for the 33 punters who landed the place fund as they are £1,333.10 better off for picking six placed horses.

Abandonment of Doncaster sees a plethora of totescoop6 winners

The abandonment of Doncaster meant that there were only three legs in this afternoon’s totescoop6 and this saw a host of winners after two of the three races were won by favourites.

Scoop6 or Scoop 3 Won

Grands Crus destroyed the field in the Rewards4Racing Cleeve Hurdle whilst favourite backers were also in clover after Wishfull Thinking took the first leg. Backspin disappointed in the Neptune Investment Management Novices’ Hurdle after being sent off the 11/8 favourite but Bobs Worth was not without his supporters and obliged at 7/2.

This saw a total of 2,778 winning units which left a dividend of £228.40 whilst there were 16,697 winners of the place fund, each of whom pockets £9.30. The truncated version of the bet also saw a bumper turnover of £611,014 as punters chased the dead money in the pool.

‘The abandonment of Doncaster meant this weekend’s Scoop6 was made considerably easier to win and after two of the three legs were won by favourites, there were always going to be plenty of winners!’ said totepool spokesman George Primarolo.

Due to three legs of the Scoop6 being abandoned, none of this weekend’s winners are eligible to go for the bonus fund which now stands at £81,408.

Totescoop6 Could be Worth up to £400,000 this Weekend

This weekend’s ToteScoop6 could be worth up to £400,000 after the bet rolled over for the third consecutive weekend last Saturday. There is currently £189,954 in the win fund whilst the bonus pot has reached £81,408.

Scoop6 Worth a Play This Weekend

This weekend’s bet is a triple-header between Ascot, Haydock and Wincanton though there are precautionary inspections planned at the latter two fixtures as frost threatens to grip the country once more.

The highlight of the Scoop6 sees a field of 13 face the starter for the Grade 2 Peter Marsh Chase where Malcolm Jefferson’s King Fontaine will be looking to land a hat-trick at the Merseyside venue having won two handicap chases there already this season.

“The totescoop6 is beginning to build up a head of steam and this weekend’s bet could be worth up to £400,000 should anyone find the winner of six races from Ascot, Haydock and Wincanton,” said totepool spokesman George Primarolo.

Three punters land totescoop6 bonus fund

This weekend’s totescoop6 became a truncated Scoop3 after the abandonment of Lingfield which understandably led to 880 tickets landing the win fund. The win dividend was £41.20.

There was better news for the three bonus hunters who each picked Nightjar as he went on to justify 2/1 favouritism in the totepool ‘A Better Way to Bet’ Handicap at Southwell and land them £31,392.

‘As the sole meeting in England, all eyes were on Southwell this weekend and the three bonus winners will be glad the meeting went ahead as it enabled them to each collect an early Christmas present of £31,392,’ said totepool spokesman George Primarolo.

A total of £81,468 was bet into the pool this afternoon and there were 5400 winners of the place dividend, each of whom picks up £3.80. Because three of the six legs were abandoned, this weekend’s winners are not eligible to go for any bonus rollover.

Adverse weather forecast sees totescoop6 head to all-weather meetings

With doubts over both Ascot and Haydock tomorrow afternoon, this weekend’s totescoop6 will take place exclusively on the all-weather though Lingfield are holding a precautionary inspection at 6.30am tomorrow morning.

This afternoon’s meeting at Ascot had to be abandoned due to a frozen track and with conditions expected to worsen overnight, there seems to be little hope that Saturday’s meeting can be saved with an inspection due at 4.30pm. Haydock are also inspecting at 8am tomorrow morning but with an unfavourable overnight forecast, the meeting looks in doubt.

Channel 4 will show four live races from Southwell and three from Lingfield should both jumps meetings be abandoned and if this is the case, then all six Scoop6 legs will be televised. Three punters will be looking to land a further £94,177 to the £50,989 they won last weekend as they aim to pick the winner of the bonus race which is the £10,000 added totepool A Better Way to Bet Handicap at Southwell.

“With serious doubts over both Ascot and Haydock, there was a strong possibility that we’d end up with no Scoop6 races this weekend so in order to maximise turnover for the benefit of the industry, we’ve decided to head to Lingfield and Southwell,” said totepool spokesman George Primarolo.

Bumper totescoop6 turnover expected as jumps season steps up a gear

This weekend’s totescoop6 could be worth over £350,000 after punters failed to land the bet last Saturday which leaves a rollover of £137,988 in the win fund whilst the bonus pot has now risen to £59,137.

All six legs are live on Channel 4 this weekend as the jumps fraternity descends on Prestbury Park for Cheltenham’s Open meeting. Four races from Cheltenham are supplemented by two from Wetherby with the highlight undoubtedly the Paddy Power Gold Cup where Long Run will be looking to cement his burgeoning reputation with victory in the valuable handicap.

“Both the win and bonus funds are slowly beginning to build up again and we’re expecting a bumper totescoop6 turnover as the jumps season steps up a gear this weekend,” said totepool spokesman George Primarolo.

Doncaster and Wincanton form this weekend’s totescoop6

The totescoop6 was not won last weekend which means there is a rollover of £68,314 in the win fund whilst the bonus pot starts again at £29,277 after the £1,119,788 was landed last Saturday at Ascot.

This weekend’s bet takes in races from Doncaster and Wincanton as the turf season draws to a close on Town Moor. The highlight of the bet sees a field of 23 go to the post for the totesport.com November Handicap where Willing Foe will be looking to make it four from four this year for Godolphin.

“This weekend’s totescoop6 sees the very best action from both codes as the turf season draws to a close and a single winner could well find themselves pocketing a nice six figure sum after the win fund rolled over to the tune of £68,314,” said totepool spokesman George Primarolo.

Coalition forces bag bonus million

Six bonus seekers were on cloud nine this afternoon as their plan to collectively cover the entire thirteen-strong field in the United House Gold Cup Handicap Chase paid off handsomely. Massini’s Maguire’s victory at Ascot returns each ticket a whopping £86,138 on top of the £31,341 dividend from last Saturday.

‘First of all, we would like to congratulate all six punters whose combined effort has landed each of them a share of the bumper £1,119,788 Scoop6 bonus fund this afternoon’ said totepool spokesman Andrew Griffiths.

‘It is testament to racing that six ticket-holders can join forces to pull off such an impressive coup and provide a welcome boost to the industry as a whole’ added Griffiths.

Returning to this afternoon’s Scoop6, Brick Red’s first leg victory kicked off the bet in the best possible manner for many punters, but one or two unfancied winners later in the day saw the number of active tickets dwindle down to one by the final leg. Massini’s Maguire’s triumph in the finale was the final nail in the coffin and the bet rolls over to next weekend’s racing.

A total of £195,184 went into the pools this afternoon and there were 115 winners of the place dividend, each collecting a very repectable £339.40 for their troubles.

totescoop6 could be worth £1.25million to a single winner this weekend

The totescoop6 bonus fund will hit £1million this weekend after the anonymous Betfair punter failed to land it last Saturday which means a single winner of tomorrow’s bet could take their winnings to around £1.25million if they successfully pick the winner of the bonus race next weekend.

A total of £99,704 has rolled over in the win fund whilst the bonus pot has reached £987,901 and punters will have to find the winners of six races from Newmarket, Cheltenham and Catterick if they are to be in with a chance of landing the spoils.

“With the totescoop6 bonus fund set to hit seven figures this weekend, fans of both codes are catered for as the racing world gears up for a climactic end to the flat season at Newmarket and the return of top-class jumping action at Cheltenham,” said totepool spokesman George Primarolo.

This highlight of this weekend’s bet sees a field of eleven go to post for the Emirates Champion Stakes where Twice Over is the 7/2 joint-favourite to record back-to-back victories in the race.
