Ryan Moore Royal Ascot Jockey Favourite

Moore still favourite as race for Royal Ascot top jockey enters final furlong

There’s all to play for in the race to be top jockey at Royal Ascot after the fourth day and four of the leading riders are all in with a shout ahead of the final six races.

Free Horseracing Tips

Ryan Moore, Champion Jockey

A victory apiece for Frankie Dettori and Richard Hughes this afternoon means they share the lead with three winners each whilst a brace for Johnny Murtagh means he is firmly back in the reckoning alongside Ryan Moore on two winners.

Moore still heads the market at 11/10 with totesport with Richard Hughes next in the betting at 7/4. Murtagh is a 5/1 shot with Dettori the outsider of the quartet at 7/1.

‘The race to be top jockey at Royal Ascot is usually done and dusted by the fourth day but there’s still all to play for with four of the leading riders going toe to toe at the top of the table,’ said totesport spokesman George Primarolo.

The bookmakers are facing an uphill battle to make the Royal meeting respectable after several well-backed horse obliged on the fourth day.

‘Rainbow Peak’s victory combined with a brace for Johnny Murtagh means we’re staring down the barrel of a gun going into the final day of the Royal meeting,’ said totesport spokesman George Primarolo. ‘If Harbinger obliges in the Hardwicke Stakes on Saturday, then we may as well pull the trigger ourselves.’

Royal Ascot Top Jockey – totesport bet: 11/10 R Moore, 7/4 R Hughes, 5 J Murtagh, 7 L Dettori.

totescoop6 heads to Royal Ascot as punters aim to land rollover

Free Royal Ascot Betting Tips

Royal Ascot Bettiing Tips and Podcast from Racing Diary

This weekend’s totescoop6 has a distinctly regal theme to it on Saturday as punters try and solve two races from Royal Ascot in order to land the spoils.
The bet was not won last weekend which means that there is a rollover of £65,311 in the win fund whilst the bonus pot has now swelled to £91,233 after the eleven punters chasing it last Saturday drew a blank.

As well as both the Golden Jubilee and the Wokingham from Royal Ascot, the bet includes four races at Newmarket which are live on Channel 4. Showcasing heads a truly international field for the Golden Jubilee whilst Stewards’ Cup winner Genki is favourite for another typically competitive renewal of the Wokingham.

‘This weekend’s Scoop6 includes some of the very best racing from the Royal meeting and a single winner could well land a six figure payout,’ said totepool spokesman George Primarolo.

Godolphin can win at Royal Ascot

2:30 Royal Ascot, the Jersey Stakes, Shakespearean, Win

It is interesting to see Rainfall competing here, illustrating the high regard Mark Johnston has for this colt. He could run a big race with Ryan Moore an interesting jockey booking in my view. However Godolphin had been out of form and Shakespearean was a welcome winner of the Surrey Stakes at Epsom.Watch the Surrey Stakes, click Here. This is a good Royal Ascot betting event, the Jersey Stakes, and I think it is Frankie Dettori who holds all the aces here.

Officially rated the best horse in the race, he should be up to winning this competitive Group Three contest. SHAKESPEAREAN to win the Jersey Stakes.

3:05 Royal Ascot, Windsor Forest Stakes, Strawberrydaiquiri, Win.

Antara could be anything as the saying goes for Godolphin but we know that Strawberrydaiquiri is tough, durable and above all consistent. 7 carrer starts have yielded five wins and in her last run she has Spacious soundly beaten. Antara beat Reggane last time out but that one was given far too much to do and a better ride would have won the race. Ryan Moore will not give Dettori the space up front that he relishes and for me STRAWBERRYDAIQUIRI is an excellent bet to win the Windsor Forest Stakes at Royal Ascot.

Twice Over can win at Royal Ascot

3:50 Royal Ascot, Prince Of Wales’s  Stakes, Twice Over, Win (Group One)

The big race of the day is the Group One Prince Of Wales’s Stakes in which Twice Over can provide another Royal Ascot winner for Henry Cecil. Twice Over is a serious horse who didn’t deliver the goods in the World Cup but is a genuine Group One Performer. I think he can win this with the excellent Tom Queally in the saddle. He won the Champion Stakes at Newmarket and had Mawatheeq behind in second. TWICE OVER is the one for me here.
totesport.com

4:25 Royal Ascot, The Royal Hunt Cup, Dandy Boy, Win

This honestly wouldn’t be a huge bet for me, but with Mabait out of Royal Ascot I do fancy Dandy Boy, the Victoria Cup winner. Mabait would have gained revenge I feel, but we will never know. The Royal Hunt Cup is always a hard race, possibly the hardest puzzle of Royal Ascot to solve. Keep stakes to a minimum is my view.

5:00 Royal Ascot, The Queen Mary Stakes, Primo Lady, Win

I saw PRIMO LADY win at York and thought she might be decent. The face that she is trained by Gay Kellaway is good news for value seekers as if she was trained by Richard Hannon she would be half her current odds oin the Royal Ascot Betting. That listed win at York is decent and at a big price, in a race of so many unknowns, backing this filly  is good value. I advise a win and place, or each-way in old money. Primo Lady for me for value in the Queen Mary Stakes.

I think I will leave early on Wednesday, the last race looks an impossible puzzle to solve. A great day of racing at Royal Ascot, betting of the highest quality. Can we have another winner today?

Royal Ascot Betting Update From Stan James

Stan James make Goldikova their 13/8 favourite for the Queen Anne Stakes the curtain-raiser on a wonderful first day of Royal Ascot 2010 on Tuesday. The French wonder filly faces nine rivals including Paco Boy and Rip Van Winkle who will be making his seasonal reappearance for Aidan O’Brien.

Goldikova back to her best

Head of PR Charlie McCann: ” Tuesday promises to be the highest quality flat racing card of the season with three Group 1′s followed by the Coventry Stakes the premier juvenile race of the campaign to date. It has an international feel with the French wonder filly Goldikova, Aussie speedsters Nicconi and Gold Trail in the King’s Stand and the clash of the English and Irish Guineas winners in the St James’s Palace Stakes where we bet 5/4 Makfi to confirm Newmarket running with Canford Cliffs who is 5/4 to finish in front of the French raider. We have yet to witness a great game at the World Cup but the opening day of Royal Ascot looks like being a cracker.”

Stan James has cut Zoffany from 11/2 into 7/2 having seen plenty of money for the Ballydoyle juvenile this morning.

Head of PR Charlie McCann: ” We presumed wrongly as it turned out that Samuel Morse would be the Ballydoyle first string and that stable jockey Johnny Murtgah would take the ride, but all the money has been for Zoffany and we have pushed out Samuel Morse to 4s from 11/4 despite the booking of Ryan Moore. Strong Suit has also been nibbled at and is now favourite at 5/2 to give Richard Hannon back-to-back wins in the premier juvenile race at the meeting.”

Dandy Man heads Royal Ascot Hunt Cup Market

Dandy Man new Hunt Cup favourite as Mabait misses Royal Ascot

Dandy Man is the new 10/1 favourite for the Royal Hunt Cup with totesport following the news that ante-post favourite Mabait will miss the race at next weeks Royal Ascot. Betting update for Royal Ascot….

Godolphin trains Dandy Man

Luca Cumani’s colt could only finish third behind Bushman when upped to group company at Epsom over the weekend and his trainer has confirmed that he will sidestep Royal Ascot.

‘Mabait showed he was well up to winning in group company at Epsom last week and it looks like handicaps are off the agenda for the time being,’ said totesport spokesman George Primarolo. ‘His Victoria Cup conqueror Dandy Boy now heads the market for another competitive-looking renewal of the Royal Hunt Cup.’

Consequently, Mabait’s stablemate Acrostic has shortened in the betting with totesport for the mile handicap and is now a 14/1 shot (from 16/1). Andrew Balding’s Riggins has also been cut to 14/1 (from 16s).

Elsewhere, Happy Zero has been popular ahead of a possible crack at the Golden Jubilee Stakes and has been cut to 11/1 (from 12/1).

Cumani Set for Tilt at Wokingham and Royal Hunt Cup

CUMANI HOLDS ANOTHER ASCOT HOPE AS HILLS OPEN BETTING ON THE WOKINGHAM & ROYAL HUNT CUP

Leading bookmakers William Hill today opened betting on two of the season’s most competitive handicaps – the Wokingham, and the Royal Hunt Cup. The stable now has Fallon riding for it!

Horseracing News and Tips

Fallon Rides for Fallon

In the Royal Hunt Cup –handicap wizard Luca Cumani predictably holds a number of entries spearheaded by the 10-1 ante-post favourite Mabait. Despite numerous attempts, Cumani has failed to secure the Hunt Cup since the glory days of Towar and Dallas in the 80s, but this year holds a quartet of entries with the lightly-raced duo of Acrostic, and Forte Dei Marmi (16-1), with 25-1 chance Axiom making up the foursome.

Sir Michael Stoute’s Enact and recent York winner Ingleby Lady jointly head the betting with Hills as 12-1 joint-favourites in the Wokingham, just ahead of 14-1 chances Johannes and William Hill Ayr Silver Cup winner Kaldoun Kingdom.

William Haggas – victorious with the smart High Standing last year – holds an entry with Bonnie Charlie whom Hills have installed at 20-1 for the famous six-furlong dash.

Other trainers to have had success in the event are the likes of Richard Hannon, who in both 1990 and 1994 won the race with Venture Capitalist and Knight of Mercy respectively; and holds an entry 20-1 chance Edge Closer.

Kate Miller, spokeswoman for William Hill, said: “These two handicaps are fraught with danger for the bookies with an abundance of lightly-raced sorts with ‘big handicaps’ written all over them. Cumani, as always bring a wealth of chances into the Hunt Cup, whilst the Wokingham boasts entries from a number of top yards bidding for Royal Ascot glory.’’

Wokingham Handicap: (William Hill bet): 12-1 Enact, Ingleby Lady, 14-1 Johannes, Kaldoun Kingdom, 16-1 Al Khaleej, Bagamoyo, Genki, Jimmy Styles, Masamah, Redford, 20-1 Bonnie Charlie, Brae Hill, Edge Closer, Hawkeyethenoo, Hitchens, Laddies Poker Two, Medicean Man, Palace Moon, Rain Delayed, Wildcat Wizard, 25-1 BAR (E/W ¼ 1,2,3,4)

Royal Hunt Cup(William Hill bet) 10-1 Mabait, 12-1 Dandy Boy,14-1 Fareer, Riggins, 16-1 Acrostic, Al Khaleej, Balcarce Nov, Bangalore Gold, Docofthebay, Forgotten Voice, Fortei Dei Marmi, Last Three Minutes, 20-1 Cityscape, Invisible Man, Lovelace, Marajaa, Mull Of Killough, St Moritz, Stoic, Supaseus, Suruor, Tartan Gigha, Tiger Reigns, Tryst, 33-1 Bar (E/W ¼ 1,2,3,4)

3.45 Golden Jubilee Stakes

The King’s Stand went Down Under thanks to Scenic Blast and this Group 1 sprint could be bound for either South Africa or Hong Kong courtesy of J J The Jet Plane or Sacred Kingdom.

There is precious little between them on form – and it might be worth backing one and saving on the other – but if pressed to split them I suspect J J The Jet Plane might be the one based on his runaway defeat of smart rivals under a big penalty at Windsor.

Newmarket vibes have been positive about last year’s winner Kingsgate Native after an abortive spell at stud, but the “Greek Freak” Ialysos has much more on than when winning at Haydock.

King’s Apostle goes really well here but needs a career best to improve his fine Ascot record, while Art Connoisseur is the one who appeals as capable of going well at a wild price if back to the sort of form he showed here last year

8:35
Racing Diary (Carl):  THE feature race on the final day of Royal Ascot is the Golden Jubilee Stakes and punters are finding it hard to split the front two in the market.

JJ The Jet Plane, representing South Africa, has been at the head of the ante-post market for some time but he now has to share favouritism with Sacred Kingdom. The Hong Kong sprinter was supplemented for this race and he seems the stronger of the two on the early exchanges. The pair are general 11-4 joint favourites this morning.

TRACK records fell in three consecutive races on Friday, but clerk of the course Chris Stickels was not too perturbed.

He said on Friday night: “You have to remember that we are only in our fourth season on the realigned track, so the records don’t concern me.

With one day still remaining at Royal Ascot 2009, bookmakers believe Gold Cup-winning rider Johnny Murtagh has the top jockey title wrapped up.

Picture
Murtagh – remains favourite.

Perched on four winners for the meeting after missing both Friday and Saturday through suspension, Murtagh was cut to 1/2 by totesport from the 4/6 on offer 24 hours earlier, while William Hill are more generous at this stage, moving to 4/6 from 8/13.

Sky Bet were keen to lay Murtagh before Friday’s action and were a top-priced 10/11. They now offer 4/7.

Murtagh is looking to retain the London Clubs Charity Trophy for the second year in a row and his nearest challengers in the betting are Richard Hughes and Ryan Moore.

Champion jockey Moore moved to two winners for the meeting through Perfect Stride in the Wolferton Handicap and still has some tasty rides left on the final afternoon with the likes of Kingsgate Native and Doctor Fremantle to look forward to.

Moore is 15/8 second best with Hills and Sky Bet and 9/4 with totesport. Although Hughes has three on the board, he is virtually discounted and available at 10/1 with Sky Bet, despite being odds-on after Tuesday’s treble. Richard Hills is another with three after the brilliant success of Ghanaati in the Coronation Stakes, but he is a 25/1 chance with Sky Bet and totesport.

Mike de Kock is in bullish mood as he prepares to saddle South African speedball J J The Jet Plane in the Golden Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot on Saturday.

Picture
J J The Jet Plane – ready to rumble.

The five-year-old was unbeatable in his native land, with the only defeat of his career so far coming on the Nad Al Sheba dirt in February.

He put that disappointment behind him by returning to winning ways back on the turf in Dubai – and also showed he is equally effective on British soil when running away with a Listed race at Windsor.

“I’d say he has definitely come on a bit since Windsor and, thankfully, we have had no interruptions since then. We just have to see if he’s good enough now,” said the South African handler.

“I do think it’s an advantage that he’s been over here a while as he’s settled in well now and has already travelled to a racecourse – that all helps as he can be a bit fired up.

“He’s drawn nine of 14 and that gives the jockey all the options. Everything is in his favour and the fast ground is 100% ideal.

“You have got to respect Sacred Kingdom after the way he ran in Singapore and of the locals, I suppose there is King’s Apostle who I know a little bit about.

Trainer Joe Janiak scratched the Australian ‘iron horse’ when signs indicated all was not right with the gelding. On veterinary examination, it was found Takeover Target had a raised temperature; he had also reportedly been lethargic in his work.

His absence deprives enthusiasts of a conclusion to a romantic tale of the Turf that has endured as long as Yeats has been winning Gold Cups. Takeover Target had been expected to line up in his fourth consecutive Golden Jubilee, a race in which he had finished second, third and fourth.

Racing Diary (Carl):  John McCririck’s Day Five Tips

It’s the final day of Royal Ascot but Big Mac and Gary are still bullish about their chances of winning…

Big Mac says: “My Thursday was ruined after that fat guesser somehow managed to pick Radiohead in the first – and at a Betfair SP of [14.0], too, with the industry return only 10-1. How lucky can a fat man get? (hopefully very lucky if the man in question is me).

“But that creature has no stamina – the last exercise he did was when wiggling his legs coming out of the womb – and he will tie up in the closing stages.

“Mac to get up on the line in the Battle Of The Bulge!”

Golden Jubilee Stakes (3.45)

I was at Windsor when JJ The Jet Plane won and I was hailing him as the best horse ever to race on the course, alongside with the mighty Halling. Mike De Kock came on ATR before the race and told all the South African ex-pats to lump and he ran a great trial for this; giving weight and a trouncing to second-raters would have teed him up nicely for this prize. He is a superstar and at around [4.0] he is a decent bet.

Wokingham Stakes (4.25)

I like Jimmy Styles in the Wokingham. It may be unoriginal as he is the 11-2 favourite in a 28-runner field but he is very progressive, is ideally drawn in stall one and is from the red hot Clive Cox stable. That’ll do for me.

Queen Alexandra Stakes (5.35)

I like Halla San in the marathon contest. He is not far off on the ratings, is in fair nick, should love the trip and hails from the in-form Fahey stable, who got on the Ascot scoresheet with a 66-1 winner on Thursday.

Like the look of JJ The Jet Plane, Jimmy Styles and Halla San?

Lay of the Day.

It is all about price in this game and i think Doctor Fremantle is too short in the Hardwicke at 7-4 on Betfair. He is a high class animal has always promised more than he has delivered, and connections were expecting him to win by more than a nose on his reappearance. He could be vulnerable.

Racing Diary (Carl):  Sam Turner Daily Mail (Robin Goodfellow) Tips for Royal Ascot Day Five

HARD TO IGNORE CAMPANOLOGIST

The victory of Flying Cloud on Thursday will have given Godolphin a welcome boost and CAMPANOLOGIST (Royal Ascot, nb, 3.05) may continue their revival with success in a below-par renewal of the Hardwicke Stakes.

Last year’s King Edward VII Stakes winner was given a cute ride from the front by Frankie Dettori that day and I’m hoping that the Italian can employ similar tactics this afternoon on a horse which should strip fitter for a recent outing in good company at Sandown.

This looks to have been the primary plan all season for Campanologist and he should be thereabouts.

GOLD STRIKE FOR NOSEDA

The presence of classy foreign sprinters J J The Jet Plane and Sacred Kingdom adds further spice to the Golden Jubilee Stakes today and it would be no surprise to see either oblige in a hot renewal.

However, bookmakers are now wise to raiders from outside the UK and, with trainer Jeremy Noseda enjoying a good week, it may prove prudent to risk a few units each-way on STRIKE THE DEAL (Royal Ascot, nap, 3.45) to add another shock to the race’s roll call.

The 4yo has been within a length or two of the top sprinters for a while now, but posted a big speed figure at Lingfield last time and may represent better value than his more high-profile opponents.

TAKE TAMAGIN TAMAGIN

(Royal Ascot, 4.25) is a bit of a law unto himself, but Kevin Ryan’s speedster is a talented handicapper when in the mood and could be primed for a big run in the Wokingham.

I like the form of his recent run at Lingfield and his early-season win at Newcastle suggests a stiff 6f is well within his compass these days.

Racing Diary (Carl):  Rob Wright The Times Says;
The speedy Sacred Kingdom, trained in Hong Kong by Ricky Yiu, is strongly fancied to land the group one Golden Jubilee Stakes (3.45) today.

Scenic Blast, the Australian raider, put up a brilliant display to take the week’s other group one speed test and Sacred Kingdom arrives here with similarly strong credentials. Rated the best sprinter in the world in 2007, he lost his form last year after being injured but still shared top spot in the rankings with Marchand D’Or.

Sacred Kingdom has bounced back to his best this term and showed a good turn of foot to beat Rocket Man by a neck, with Diabolical a further 3 lengths back in third, in the group one International Sprint in Singapore last month. That was his first venture outside Hong Kong and, according to his trainer, he is relishing his new roving role. “He’s travelled well and looks terrific. It looks like he’s enjoying this trip even better than the one to Singapore,” Yiu said.

Blessed with a high cruising speed, Sacred Kingdom should be able to track the front-running J J The Jet Plane before cutting him down in the closing stages.

Pick of the home team is Kingsgate Native. He won this race 12 months ago when trained by John Best and was retired to stud. However, having failed to get any mares in foal, Kingsgate Native was returned to training with Sir Michael Stoute and, despite his lengthy absence from the track, he has to be respected.

Saturday’s Horseracing Tips..20th June 2009

Sacred Kingdom can land the Golden Jubilee

51334957

I see Sacred Kingdom as the clear pick for the Golden Jubilee Stakes (3.45) as he ticks all the right boxes, his form is rock solid, he is superbly bred with a sprinting pedigree and he carries the hottest turf sprinting form in the world at the moment. He was considered a brilliant Australian juvenile with a current rating which puts him alongside the likes of Choisir. Trained in Hong Kong connections paid a £45,000 late-entry fee for Sacred Kingdom and must be reasonably confident following his last run which saw him readily win the Krisflyer sprint in Singapore.

The only worry is the draw. Five of the last seven Golden Jubilee Stakes winners have come from the top or the bottom four in the draw, so being drawn eight is not ideal . However, it has been reported than in his work, at Manton where he is stabled in the UK, that he is going very well and his trainer Mr Yiu has been making very positive noises in the Australian media. JJ the Jet Plane is going to be popular but I think that the odds are a reaction to the run at Windsor, where Sacred Kingdom won a huge race with he and Rocket Man drawing clear of a world class field. Sacred Kingdom came back to form in Hong Kong and a repeat of the Singapore run will destroy this field. This is my best bet of the week and I think the odds could be genuine value. Watch that Singapore run from Youtube…

The Wokingham looks as competitive as ever (4.25) but High Standing excels over six furlongs with figures of four wins from four starts over the trip. An eye-catching jockey booking is Ryan Moore who has had winners at Royal Ascot and looks in top gear now.  William Haggas has done really well with the four year-old but there are two concerns. Firstly the draw again and the fact that he likes to come from off the pace which with a field 28 is always fraught with problems, but there are not many better than the Champion jockey to get them home! I am sure that with a better draw he would be favourite and is probably an each-way price.

I think Ryan Moore could have a winner earlier on the card with Doctor Fremantle (3.05) who can follow up his Chester win by taking the group two Hardwicke Stakes.

Todays Bets

3.05 Doctor Fremantle win

3.45 Sacred Kingdom win

4.25 High Standing win and place

Day Five Royal Ascot- Betting Preview

A great day to close what has been a wonderful Royal Meeting in 2009.

The Closing day of Royal Ascot 2009

The Closing day of Royal Ascot 2009

Saturdays Race Schedule is as follows;

  • 2:30 Chesham Stakes (listed) (2yo, Class 1, 7f, 17 runners)
  • 3:05 Hardwicke Stakes (group 2) (4yo+, Class 1, 1m 4f, 9 runners)
  • 3:45 Golden Jubilee Stakes (global Sprint Challenge) (group 1) (3yo+, Class 1, 6f, 15 runners)
  • 4:25 Wokingham Stakes Heritage Handicap (3yo+, Class 2, 6f, 28 runners)
  • 5:00 Duke Of Edinburgh Stakes Heritage Handicap (3yo+, Class 2, 1m 4f, 19 runners)
  • 5:35 Queen Alexandra Stakes Conditions Race (4yo+, Class 2, 2m 5f 159y, 12 runners)

The highlight of the day is the Golden Jubilee Stakes at 3.45 which is an international affair, but there is some great supporting races to get stuck in to.

2:30 Chesham Stakes (listed) (2yo, Class 1, 7f, 17 runners)

A difficult race to kick off the day with a 17 runner group 2 event. The 7f listed event for 2 year-olds is never easy to solve and this is no exception. Wesley Ward runs Honor in Peace but the one to beat is Beethoven trained by Aidan O’Brien who is easily the top rated and is an 11/10 shot. Jimmy Fortune gets the ride and could have a Royal Ascot winner aboard this son of Derby winner Oratorio.

Racing Diary Advice

Back Beethoven

3:05 Hardwicke Stakes (group 2) (4yo+, Class 1, 1m 4f, 9 runners)

A decent group 2 where Ryan Moore could have another winner for Sir Michael Stoute aboard Doctor Fremantle who we backed at Chester. The 4 year-old won the Huxley Stakes last time and can land this one. He will have to beat Campanologist of Godolphin but I think he will. I really like Doctor Fremantle and will be backing him to win.

Racing Diary Advice

Back Doctor Fremantle

3:45 Golden Jubilee Stakes (global Sprint Challenge) (group 1) (3yo+, Class 1, 6f, 15 runners)

The feature race of the day and an international affair. I am with Nathan Lynch here who thinks Sacred Kingdom is the best bet for this competitive sprint. (click to read a full analysis of the Golden Jubilee) Takeover Target is a non-runner now but the international make-up is still there and Sacred Kingdom is trained in Hongkong can beat the South African trained JJ The Jet Plane.

Latest Odds: 3 J J The Jet Plane, Sacred Kingdom, 9 Kings Apostle, 10 Ialysos, Kingsgate Native,Takeover Target, 14 Lesson In Humility, 16 Bushranger, 20 Cannonball, Diabolical, 25 Art Connoisseur, 33 Strike The Deal, 40 Duff, Regal Parade, 50 Intrepid Jack ew odds 1,2,3

Racing Diary Advice

Back Sacred Kingdom

4:25 Wokingham Stakes Heritage Handicap (3yo+, Class 2, 6f, 28 runners)

This is a big betting handicap, a sprint over 6 furlongs. The market reflects just how competitive this race is, at 11-2 the field says it all.

Latest Odds: 11-2 Jimmy Styles, 7 High Standing, 10 Genki, 12 Something, 14 Evens And Odds, Markab, 20 Knot In Wood, Pearly Wey, Roker Park, Sohraab, Tamagin, 25 Advanced, Beaver Patrol, Exclamation, Major Eazy, Orpsie Boy, Prohibit, Rock Of Rochelle, Striking Spirit, Van Bossed, Zidane, 33 Asset, Soap Wars, Nota Bene, Kaldoun Kingdom, Brave Prospector, Osiris Way, Baby Strange, Carcinetto, Joseph Henry, River Falcon ew odds 1,2,3,4

The one for me is High Standing who is an each-way price at the above odds. Trained by William Haggas the gelding is unbeaten at 6 furlongs (4 from 4) and with Ryan Moore riding today this could be the value in the race.

Racing Diary Advice

Back High Standing Each-way

Duke Of Edinburgh Stakes Heritage Handicap (3yo+, Class 2, 1m 4f, 19 runners)

A tricky 3 year-old handicap that we will preview seperately.

5:35 Queen Alexandra Stakes Conditions Race (4yo+, Class 2, 2m 5f 159y, 12 runners)

A marathon to close the Royal Ascot meeting of 2009 where there is a good bet in this lucky last in the shape of Amerigo. The Jarvis stable have not had a winner here this year and can get one on the board with a horse who was second to Patkai at last years Royal meeting. He finished strongly in the Chester Cup and can go well over this longer trip. We strongly fancy this one.
