Free Horseracing Tips – Monday Horseracing Preview

Monday Free Horseracing Tips:

Ayr has been abandonned on Monday, leaving Lingfield over jumps and Wolverhampton on the flat. It is in truth a fairly uninspiring day of horseracing!

Free Horseracing Tips

Horseracing - Free Tips

Just one bet now for us on Monday which is at Lingfield, which is a jumps meeting, but kicks off with a bumper at 1:30 and Painted Tail can win this.

Painted Tail was second on her latest start at Lingfield and she has been found a winning opportunity here. She was behind the Champion Bumper-bound Keys in November, so that is high class form in my view, as I fancy Keys for Cheltenham. There is nothing close to that quality here so Painted Tail, if the form is reproduced should really hack up here.

One bet today, 1:30 Lingfield Painted Tail.

Thursdays Free Horseracing Tips, 28 October

Thursday already! What a great ride by Tony McCoy on Wednesday on Drill Sergeant, he must, repeat must, be named BBC Sports Personality of the Year, surely? Here are todays Free Horseracing Tips from Racing Diary….

Free Horseracing Tips

Mccoy- amazing

3:10 Lingfield Super Sleuth can finally exorcise an incredulous winless hex in the EBF Normandie Stud Fleur De Lys Fillies’ Stakes at Lingfield. It is almost unthinkable that Brian Meehan’s filly has yet to get her nose in front after 10 tries. But that is the glum reality ahead of her outing in this Listed race, which has attracted a rather humdrum gathering given the prize-money on offer. Super Sleuth’s engagement in this one-mile affair therefore looks a logical piece of placing on behalf of the Meehan camp. That said, the daughter of Selkirk still arrives in Surrey with plenty to prove. She has not really kicked on from her salad days, in which the filly finished a narrow second in the Fred Darling and third in the 1000 Guineas. There is, however, a degree of optimism that the old fires still burn brightly, even though more was probably expected of her at Leicester last time out. Super Sleuth was undoubtedly unsuited by the stop-start gallop on her return from a 118-day absence, finishing two lengths behind the smart Long Lashes. There is fulsome pace running throughout this race, though, so that should not be an issue. Meehan’s charge was well supported at Leicester so any significant market move should be seized upon, with her ability to act on the Fibresand an obvious likelihood given her rich American pedigree.

Latest Tony McCoy betting….
Stan James left AP McCoy at 11/8 for the BBC Sports Personality of the Year after his extraordinary victory aboard Drum Sergeant at Haydock.

Head of PR Charlie McCann: “AP must get plenty of coverage hopefully on news channels as well as sports channels in the next few days given his mount Drill Sergeant pulled himself up and refused to go out on the final circuit until the rest of the field went past. It was an incredible ride, even by his unique standards, and one which may, hopefully, tip the balance his way in December. He remains our 11/8 favourite for the prestigious award.”

Free Horseracing Tips from Racing Diary for Lingfield, one bet today….

Focus on Lingfield today

4:30 Lingfield Ajjaadd looks a solid pick in the Citipost Direct Distribution Handicap at Lingfield for unheralded trainer Ted Powell. The four-year-old is the only horse the Reigate handler has run this year, and he has certainly done him proud, striking up a good rapport with Steve Drowne along the way. His win at Brighton last time out was his third of the year and he did it nicely, taking a gap when it came with a degree of authority. He has only gone up a couple of pounds and as a course and distance winner on the Polytrack in February, he has a lot in his favour in a not particularly inspiring event.

Thursdays Free Horseracing Tips, 14 October

It is a day closer to the amazing card at Newmarket on Saturday, but it is only Thursday and here are today’s Free Horseracing Tips from Racing Diary….

Frankel, Henry Cecil

How Good is Frankel?

4:10 Nottingham, Oratory, Win. Oratory can make a protracted return to the winner’s enclosure in the feature race of the day at Nottingham. Although Richard Hannon’s four-year-old has not hit the target since his juvenile days, that statistic is misleading. After all, the son of Danehill Dancer has continued to return consistent efforts in big handicaps this term to suggest his time is near. The step up to a mile clearly worked at Ascot after a 50-day break as he got every yard to take fifth in a far superior race than this. Hannon has now made the bold decision to give Oratory the chance to shine over 10 furlongs for the first time in the Denman – Building For You – Handicap. But such has been the staying-on nature of many of his performances this term, he should be in his element. And with the handicapper finally showing signs of relenting, a new mark of 92 looks most workable.

Fridays Free Horseracing Tips, 3 September

I have just returned from London, a busy day, but looking at the cards on Friday there is not a great deal of quality on offer. We have just one bet on Friday. Get your Free Horseracing Tips, from Racing Diary….

Focus on Lingfield today

3:50 Lingfield Lost In The Moment, Win. This is a horse very much on the up and can bag a hat-trick for the Jeremy Noseda team in the Felbridge Handicap at Lingfield. The lightly-raced three-year-old has arguably got better with each run and while the assessor has naturally taken an interest, the step up in trip to 10 furlongs looks likely to suit and bring about more improvement. The Danehill Dancer colt hinted at ability when mid-division at York on his only start as a two-year-old and has backed that up this season. Again showing promise when midfield on his first couple of outings, he was sent off the heavily-backed favourite on his handicap bow at Newbury and duly obliged from what looked a workable mark of 73. Up 7lb for that at Windsor, he finished strongly to land odds of 4-7 and is starting to fulfil his potential. The way he has been finishing his races and the fact he is out of an In The Wings mare offers plenty of hope at a mile and quarter, and he is already the ante-post favourite for the Cambridgeshire later on in the season.

Free Horseracing Tips from Racing Diary

As we build up to Newcastle Pitman’s Derby on Saturday, there won’t be huge bets for the early part of the week. I have one bet on Monday, Free Horseracing Tips for Monday….

3:15 Lingfield Aegean Shadow, Win.  Aegean Shadow is a very progressive sort.  A daughter of Sakhee she is to date unbeaten in two starts for Henry Cecil with a career total of three wins from four starts. I think she will prgress to much better company that a Monday handicap at Lingfield.  She was a very eye-catching winner last time out at Brighton where she demonstrated a very good turn of foot when getting a break in the field, she quickly put the race to bed, job done. Up nine pounds for that, but I am not concerned, she should be up to winning this for the in form Cecil stable.

One bet only on Monday, Good Luck.

3:40 Ripon Off Chance can provide the white-hot Tim Easterby operation with another winner at Ripon. The North Yorkshire handler is enjoying a vintage May, and looks to have unearthed a seriously progressive contender for the Nick Wilmot-Smith Memorial Handicap. Off Chance has shot up the ratings over the last 12 months, having only finished out of the frame three times in 11 starts. She is also twice a scorer at Ripon, which is always a positive. Further cause for optimism arrived at Ascot last time when she stayed on for third behind two smart rivals in Alsace Lorraine and First City. Although she is 7lb higher than her last winning mark at Ripon last August, Off Chance is clearly on a steep upward trajectory and looks poised to launch a bold bid.

3:10 Ripon Yashrid could have been let in lightly for the Weatherbys Bank Handicap. Michael Jarvis’ three-year-old makes his handicap debut off a mark of 69, which could emerge as being extremely generous. Although he had hardly set the world alight in three maidens, Yashrid at least hinted at some ability earlier this month at Brighton. The son of Rahy stayed on resolutely to finish third over a mile, suggesting for all the world this extra furlong will be ideal. He clearly goes well on fast ground and is, intriguingly, Philip Robinson’s only ride of the day.

3:50 Chepstow Advertise. It should pay to side with Advertise in the Absolute Recruitment Celebration Handicap at Chepstow. Andrew Balding’s four-year-old was given too much to do by an amateur rider at Salisbury last time when finishing like a bullet to take fifth over seven furlongs. Seemingly on the right side of the handicapper, the step up to a mile and the appointment of Jimmy Fortune should make all the difference in a poor race.

4:50 Chepstow Il Portico is still fairly unexposed and can unlock previously undiscovered potential in the Lindley Catering Handicap over a mile and a half.

4:00 Lingfield Sheer Force can power home at Lingfield. William Knight’s three-year-old essentially had little chance against Cansili Star over course and distance earlier this month, but still shaped with credit in second. It will be a huge surprise if there is a rival of that calibre lurking in the betdaq.co.uk Handicap. Any market move would be of obvious significance ahead of Sir Mozart’s run in division one of the Henry Streeter Handicap. Barney Curley’s representative stayed on for third at Wolverhampton last time and makes an interesting step back up to a mile.

6:50 Huntingdon Sarahs Gift can maintain his rise through the ranks by winning the Betfair Handicap Chase at Huntingdon. Handled with exemplary care by Lawney Hill, the seven-year-old turned in a resilient display to land a small pot at Fakenham in April. He goes particularly well on fast ground and is good enough to counteract a 6lb rise here.

Henry Cecil

2:40 Lingfield Timepiece Henry Cecil suffered heartbreak at Newmarket last weekend but Timepiece can offer some form of solace by strengthening her Investec Oaks claims at Lingfield. Cecil’s Jacqueline Quest was denied Classic victory after losing the 1000 Guineas in the stewards’ room but Timepiece remains a live hope despite a surprise defeat on her seasonal bow. Winner of two of her three juvenile starts, the half-sister to Passage Of Time was well supported to make a victorious comeback at Newmarket’s Craven meeting, only to finish fourth having failed to get a clear run. However, with a smoother passage she would probably have been second and in hindsight that was a perfectly respectable return as the winner Rumoush is smart and was far from disgraced in the 1000 Guineas, while third-placed Maria De Medici has subsequently tasted Listed glory. The form now has a strong look to it and with Cecil having used the totesportcasino.com Oaks Trial Stakes as a prep event for last year’s Epsom second Midday, it is hard to ignore Timepiece’s claim.

Picture

3:10 Lingfield Captain James It should be another case of a familiar face in the winner’s enclosure after the totesport.com Derby Trial Stakes too. Captain James Cook may not have quite the tall reputation of some of his stablemates but he looks a thoroughly progressive type and will surely have benefited from a recent all-weather win at Dundalk. His head victory over Behtarini might not read that well on the face of it but the pair pulled 12 lengths clear of the third with the runner-up having some decent form against the likes of Chabal and Jan Vermeer as a juvenile. Captain James Cook still won with a little in hand and while there are plenty of question marks, Aidan O’Brien took the race with a similar type in 2009.

2:10 Lingfield Reggane can regain the winning thread in the totesport 0800 221 221 Chartwell Fillies’ Stakes. Alain de Royer-Dupre’s French raider has not got her head in front since making a winning racecourse debut just over a year ago. However, she mixed it with the best last term and was not beaten far in the Coronation Stakes at Ascot before finding the great Goldikova far too good in the Prix d’Astarte. Reggane was last seen finishing a close-up sixth in the Prix Daniel Wildenstein on Arc day and while she has to overcome her recent lack of match practice, this Group Three represents her easiest task for some time.

2:20 Ascot Duncan fell short of some high expectations last term but he can return refreshed in Ascot’s John Doyle Buckhounds Stakes. The five-year-old promised much after finishing a close-up fourth in the Coronation Cup but his season petered out somewhat after that effort. Duncan had been on the go a fair while before his disappointing final effort at Haydock but another winter on his back should have worked wonders. The totesport Victoria Cup has drawn its usual competitive field but unexposed Irish raider Dandy Boy catches the eye following a satisfactory prep run at Dundalk.

3:35 Haydock Overturn bought up the hat-trick in style in the Scottish Champion Hurdle and go in again in the totesport.com Swinton Handicap Hurdle at Haydock. Donald McCain’s runner has won each of his last three starts at Ayr, culminating in a comprehensive success in the Grade Two event last month. The six-year-old will be racing off an 8lb higher mark this time but still looks to be improving and could prove the class act on his favoured good ground.

Through The Cards, Saturday, Free Horseracing Tips;

ASCOT: 2.20 Duncan, 2.50 Blue Angel, 3.25 Dandy Boy, 4.00 Kojak, 4.35 Satwa Gold, 5.10 We Have A Dream.

Doncaster on Friday

2:30 Doncaster Watch Amigo looked a certain future winner when finishing with a rattle on his last run and is the one to be with in the crownhotel-bawtry.co.uk Handicap at Doncaster. Walter Swinburn’s four-year-old has very few miles on the clock and the way he came home at Pontefract gave plenty of encouragement for the future. The Royal Applause gelding was doing all his best work at the end on what was just his third run, leaving the impression he would know much more next time. Racing off the same rating, he looks nailed on to be firmly involved at the business end.

4:45 Doncaster Rigidity has the potential for plenty of improvement this season and is taken to make the perfect start in the totepool A Better Way To Bet Handicap. The lightly-raced son of Indian Ridge looked a nice prospect in two runs as a juvenile, progressing nicely from a debut second to score with authority on his second and final run at Yarmouth. It would be no surprise if he ends up much better than this initial mark of 77.

5:15 Doncaster Avenuesnalley ways has every chance of defying a 6lb penalty in the Pegler Yorkshire Handicap. Ralph Beckett’s charge is untried on turf but his profile is one of rapid improvement and everything he has done so far suggests this first try at a mile will see the upward curve continue.

3:00 Doncaster Goolagong has a race like the Atteys Solicitors Maiden Fillies’ Stakes with her compass. She was sent off favourite at Kempton on her reappearance but had no answer to Clairvoyance, who is a decent sort. There might still be better to come and she is entitled to be sharper for the experience.

4.25 Lingfield Storm Ultralight The Godolphin horses seem refreshingly forward at this early stage of the season and Storm Ultralight is one to note in the Free Bet At bluesquare.com Conditions Stakes at Lingfield. This Argentinian-bred runner has scored with ease at Listed level in Uruguay and it would be no surprise to see him prove a useful recruit.

1:40 Lingfield Count Of Anjou was a solid third at the Craven meeting and is hard to oppose in division one of the Free Bet At bluesquare.com Maiden Stakes.

4:00 Musselburgh Moorhouse Lad can be inconsistent and for that reason is only a tentative selection in the Core Oil And Gas Lowball Booth Conditions Stakes at Musselburgh. Bryan Smart’s sprinter has not always lived up to his billing but has some top-notch Group One form in the book and ran well enough last time in a similar race to this at Nottingham. Anything like his close-up ninth in last year’s Nunthorpe Stakes would be more than good enough.

Through The Card For Friday;

BANGOR: 5.50 Kanad, 6.20 Osric, 6.50 Chicago Alley, 7.20 Picaroon, 7.50 Belligerent, 8.20 Karky Schultz.

CORK: 5.00 High Award, 5.30 The Mighty Atom, 6.00 Sir Gerry, 6.30 Rublevka Star, 7.00 Echoes Of History, 7.30 Art Broker, 8.00 Be My Storm.

DONCASTER: 2.30 WATCH AMIGO (NAP), 3.00 Goolagong, 3.35 Bollin Greta, 4.10 Murura, 4.45 Rigidity, 5.15 Avenuesnalleyways.

FONTWELL: 5.40 Bid Art, 6.10 Jetnova, 6.40 You Can Of Course, 7.10 Pearly Star, 7.40 Cockatoo, 8.10 Bolton Hall.

LINGFIELD: 1.40 Count Of Anjou, 2.10 Jambo Bibi, 2.40 Seyaaq, 3.15 Eisteddfod, 3.50 Summerinthecity, 4.25 Storm Ultralight, 4.55 Island Sunset, 5.25 Fairy Flight.

MUSSELBURGH: 2.20 Jigajig, 2.50 Trading, 3.25 Fujin Dancer, 4.00 Moorhouse Lad, 4.35 Park’s Prodigy, 5.05 Malcheek, 5.35 Mr Lu.
