FALLON’S RETURN – 4/1 HE’S CHAMPION JOCK

Kieren Fallon makes his eagerly awaited return to race riding next Friday and Paddy Power are betting that he hits the ground running.

The multiple champion jockey is rated just 7-1 to win the upcoming St. Leger and 4-1 to win the jockey’s championship next year.

In terms of Fallon’s next boss, the bookie thinks it an unlikely 25-1 that he returns to Ballydoyle and an even less likely 33-1 that he replaces Christophe Soumillon as the Aga Khan’s retained jockey.

In recent times Fallon has been no stranger to controversy and Paddy Power also offer odds on what his next ban will be for.  The bookie is almost certain that it will be for careless riding rating the offence odds on at 4/7.

Punters who fondly remember Fallon’s strength in a finish may be tempted by the 6/4 offered on a  ban due to excessive use of the whip.  While less likely outsiders are a repeat of his ban for using a banned substance at 33/1 and a ban for race fixing at 100/1.

Paddy Power said, “Punters the length and breadth of the land will be rubbing their hands at the prospect of the return of the winners machine.  Bookies beware, Fallon is back!”

Monday’s Horseracing Tips…

Happy May Day.. We Hope!

Happy May Day.. We Hope!

May Day..Looks a Tough One!

What a weekend, Delegator second, Rainbow View didn’t like fast ground (thanks Mr Gosden for telling us AFTER the race) and Jamie Spencer gave Radiohead a shocker of a ride!

Today looks like one to take easy, looking at the cards!  I flagged up a couple after their last runs to follow that are out today.

The first is Badiat Alzaman (4.10) running in  a Warwick Fillies Maiden. Backed heavily at Wolves, from  11/4 to 6/4f only to be beaten by Leahurst, of Jeremy Noseda’s.

David Simcock likes a touch and must have been gutted when the 3 year-old would have won by 7 lengths had Noseda’s horse not been so good. She is clearly very well regarded. Connections will be looking to get back the money that was left behind at Wolverhampton- it must have been some pile given the market move.

Badiat Alzaman is one to be one, despite the silly name!

Jeremy Noseda has lots of very decent animals and runs yet another at Kempton. Forgotten Voice (4.30) must have been a nightmare for the handicapper to rate after winning at Kempton. He won by a short head off a mark of 82, but was denied a clear run, more than once, and having pulled hard in the early stages the colt showed great acceleration to win leaving the impression that he could have actually won by a mile, or more!.

The handicapper has put Forgotten Voice up 8lbs for that and he could be very well handicapped today.  Shane Kelly retains the ride and may need to draw on his knowledge of this quirky type. He might win this by a mile today!

At bigger odds…

Each way, look at Everaard (4.40) at Warwick, beaten only a length on his last two starts he could do us a good turn today! Get on EACH WAY- Win and Place!
