Will Beckham Get Caught Off-Side?

David Beckham yesterday shrugged off smears about his private life – to dazzle locals in the Caribbean. The LA Galaxy star was feted as he launched the Trinidad and Tobago football festival. And despite his fury at claims he slept with Bosnian prostitute Irma Nici, he kept his feelings under wraps as he happily mingled with locals in Port of Spain.

According to Irma Nici, the hooker alleging to have had an affair with football superstar David Beckham, the LA Galaxy star’s manhood has distinguishing features which will prove she was indeed intimate with him.

Beckham is strenuously denying the claims and has already served the Bosnian hooker with a 21-page libel writ but Irma is adamant she is telling the truth and has even challenged Becks to drop his pants in court!

Although unlikely, Paddy Power are betting 10/1 that Beck’s rises to the challenge while it’s 1/33 that he refuses point blank to expose himself.

As for what “distinguishing features&rd quo; the soccer star has it’s anyone’s guess but Paddy Power have opened betting as to what it might be. The odds on a birthmark being the distinguishing feature are just 5/2, while it’s 7/2 odds Becks has a piercing down below and 12/1 he has a noticeable scar. The odds on the midfielder bearing a Three Lions tattoo are 33/1 while it’s 40/1 he has a tattoo tribute to his wife and an unlikely 500/1 he has the name Rebecca etched on his manhood! Meanwhile, the odds on him actually having a pair of Golden balls are 100/1!

Sharon McHugh, spokesperson for Paddy Power, said: “I’m not sure that dropping his pants will be enough to prove he was unfaithful but I’m hoping he does nonetheless – along with the rest of the female population!”

The good news for Brand Beckham though is the odds on them winning the case are heavily in their favour with Paddy Power quoting 1/33 that Team Beckham will em erge victorious.

Will Beckham drop his pants in court?

Beckham Targets London Olympics 2012

David Beckham went on to say he had two more ambitions to fulfill: Playing for Britain in the 2012 Olympics and scoring winning goal in the 2014 World Cup final in Brazil.

Read more at SkyNews.

DAVID BECKHAM , who says he wants to play in the 2012 London Olympics is 16/1 with William Hill to do so, and 50/1 to achieve his other stated ambition of playing for England during any stage of the 2014 World Cup.

Hills have also lengthened his odds of becoming the next England manager from 12/1 to 20/1 after he declared he had no current ambitions to be a manager.

‘Full marks to David Beckham for wanting to extend his Englsnd career or even to play for GB Olympic team – but we can’t see either happening’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.

Tuesdays Football Betting, Live Odds and Tips

Champions League Football returns to our screens tonight with the big game being Manchester United taking on AC Milan. The headlines will feature David Beckham for obvious reasons, but though this is a bit of fun and provides many special marketing opportunities the truth is Beckham is unlikely to start the game and though a very good footballer, still, the key men in this game are likely to be in a Manchester United Shirt.

Football Betting Tips

Manchester United away in Milan

Sir Alex Ferguson has very cleverly publicly stated that Wayne Rooney is the man of the moment and who can argue with the great man when you look at his current performances. Rooney is the man at the centre of both United’s and England’s tournament fortunes in 2010. I think United have a huge chance of getting something away in Milan, and at the prices I will LAY MILAN (to give us the draw on side) and am prepared to back Manchester United to Win away.

I would be shocked if there were more than two goals in this game so I will be backing under 2.5 goals here;

In Conclusion: LAY Milan and back Manchester United, with under 2.5 goals also an option.

Also Tonight

Lyon (56/19) Draw (12/5) Real Madrid (15/13)

Real Madrid should be too good for Lyon and at odds against I am happy to to lump on the World’s most expensive team! I think this is tremendous value and I make Madrid away the best bet of the night.

Premier League

Stoke (23/10) Draw (12/5) Manchester City (11/8)

Manchester City are stuttering at the moment and really need a good result at Stoke. However Stoke at home are a decent side nowadays but I am prepared to go with the better side at what I think are decent odds. Manchester City to win here;

Everton v Sporting Lisbon

A good match in a nonsense competition is how I see this one. Everton should win but there is no value to be had and I recommend focusing on the good stuff tonight.

England Get Lucky In Draw for Billion Pound World Cup

England will open their quest to lift the World Cup by tackling the United States in Rustenburg on Saturday, June 12.

Fabio Capello could not have hoped for much better from a group that will also see the Three Lions tackle Algeria and Slovenia in Group C. Any clash with the United States is bound to revive memories of that shock defeat during the 1950 tournament in Brazil. Speaking to the press Capello said;

“I know two of the teams, we’ve played friendly games against the USA and Slovenia,” Capello told Sky Sports News. People will think it’s easy, but I think you have to respect all the teams. From my experience as a player when you have to play here it’s a different pressure and a different mentality. I repeat, we have to respect the teams we have to play against.”

THE 2010 WORLD CUP WILL BE THE FIRST SPORTING EVENT TO PRODUCE A BETTING TURNOVER OF OVER £1 BILLION, PREDICT BOOKMAKERS WILLIAM HILL.

‘The last World Cup came close to producing a £1 billion turnover, but we have no doubt that the 2010 tournament will smash through the barrier and go well beyond. The excitement and interest surrounding the tournament is at an all time high – and it looks the most open World Cup for many years, which will enhance the betting interest’ said William Hill spokesman Graham Sharpe.

‘We are desperate for England to do well – but not quite well enough to win as that would cost us millions’ said Sharpe, ‘Our ideal scenario is for England to reach the Final but lose on a penalty shoot-out. That is a 90/1 chance. But even if England do win – well, we’ve had forty three years since 1966 to save up!’

ENGLAND NOW WORLD CUP SECOND FAVOURITES

WILLIAM HILL have cut England from 6/1 third favourites to 5/1 second favourites following the World Cup draw. Spain are 4/1 favourites with Hills who also offer 11/2 Brazil; 9/1 Argentina; 11/1 France and Italy; 12/1 Germany; 14/1 Holland; 25/1 Portugal; 33/1 Chile and Ivory Coast; 50/1 Paraguay; 66/1 Cameroon; Mexico; Serbia and Uruguay; 60/1ia and USA; 100/1 Australia; 125/1 Denmark and South Africa; 150/1 Greece and Switzerland; 200/1 S Korea and Slovenia; 250/1 Slovaki; Japan and Algeria; 750/1 Honduras; 1000/1 New Zealand; 2000/1 North Korea.

Where will Beckham play next?

Where will Beckham play next?

BOOKIES reckon David Beckham is Italy-bound this winter despite dropping hints that he may be interested in returning to the Premier League.

England’s most capped outfield player is looking to play in Europe between November and March during the MLS’s off-season.

And Ladbrokes reckon he’s 4/11 to re-sign with AC Milan, who recruited him for the same period last season.

The firm are also offering 6/1 that Tottenham take him on, 12/1 Fulham, 20/1 Arsenal and 33/1 his old club Manchester United.

Ladbrokes spokesman Robin Hutchison said: “We’re sure he would relish a chance to return to a club within commuting distance of Beckingham Palace.

“But you’d think Milan would have first refusal even with Ancelotti having left for Chelsea..”

Fabio Capello’s warning to David Beckham to play in Europe before the end of the season was refreshed punters’ interests in Paddy Power’s betting on David Beckham’s next European club.

Where will Beckham play next?

Where will Beckham play next?

AC Milan remain favourites at 11/10 although Spurs and Fulham have been attracting the most interest. Spurs have leap-frogged Chelsea to become 9/4 second favourites but the bookie has slashed Fulham’s odds from 100/1 to 16/1.

Darren Haines, spokesman for Paddy Power, said;

“Capello’s warning to Beckham makes it a certainty he’ll be coming back to Europe in January to secure a World Cup spot and having bought a home in Chelsea many punters are speculating on the nearby Craven Cottage being a possible destination.”

Holland v England

England are the 2/1 outsiders to win the match with Holland 13/10 favourites and the draw 11/5. A repeat of England’s famous 4-1 win in Euro 96 is 100/1 whilst Wayne Rooney, with ten goals in his last seven England games, is 7/1 for first goal and 20/1 to bag two or more

Meanwhile with Lescott handing in a transfer request at Everton today Paddy Power is speculating on how concentrated the defender’s mind might be on the game in hand. Lescott is 14/1 to score a header against Holland and 50/1 to turn the ball into his own net.
