SEA THE STARS BACKED FOR UNBEATEN ’09 RUN!

After 24-hours of support, William Hill have been forced to adjust their odds on Sea the Stars continuing his unbeaten 2009 run through till the end of the year.

Breaking News: THE Juddmonte International at York on August 18 rather than the Betfair-sponsored King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes would appear to be the more likely target for triple Group 1 winner Sea The Stars following his victory in the Coral-Eclipse Stakes on Saturday.

3-1 to Remain Unbeaten in 09

Hills offered 5-1 about the special bet following Sea the Stars’s eclipse win yesterday, but after support at their opening price, and a follow-up at 4-1, John Oxx’s colt is now a 3-1 chance to triumph in his remaining races this season.

At last some good racing- York is here! Today sees the Musidora Stakes. We have previewed this race separately and have gone for The Queen’s Enticement.This is a very good Oaks trial and a good race in it’s own right.

There is also the £100k Duke of York Stakes, a very good Sprint and the card is a who’s who of sprinters. We have gone for Tax Free, you can read our previews of the feature races separately.

The rest of the card is pretty good too. We will go through each race, for the next 3 days and we will give you our best bets of the day at the end of the post, whether they be at York or elsewhere. York – Wednesday 13th May- Betting Tips

1.40 A Handicap over 1m 2f+ where I like Rose Street at an early price of 7/1. Second to Previs in a big handicap last season and will be fit from the Jarvis stable, could be value. Very consistent mare. Philip Robinson rides and is a master tactician.Suggest an each-way bet- take early Price with William Hill and get the SP if it ends up bigger! Best prospect may be one to Lay in running, as travels well and finds little.

2.10 A 7f handicap. There is little between Enact and Photographic, according to The Handicapper, and they occupy the early head of the market positions. However I am very strongly in favour of Enact. Was a very good second on his handicap debut but was held up and came to lead, beaten only a short margin late on. That was over 6f and this is 1f further. Ryan Moore rides for Sir Michael Stoute. Early Price 3-1. Suggest a win bet on Enact. take early Price with William Hill and get the SP if it ends up bigger!

3.45 is a Handicap over 1m 4f. 20 runners and Serious Impact will be a warm order. Winner of a Leicester Maiden, Dettori rides for the Gosden Stable, on this one’s handicap debut. Serious Impact could be very well handicapped and is hard to oppose. I would advice an Each-Way bet on Overrule with Richard Hughes an eye-catching booking for Brian Ellison.Take early Price with William Hill and get the SP if it ends up bigger! Early price.

4.20 is a 2 year-old 5f Novice Stakes. Only 5 runners and not easy. I like Ventura Cove who was a good second on his debut, but I will not be betting in this race. 4.55 is a 1m 2f + 20 runner handicap. A nice easy race to close the card. I am very keen on Topolski from the Mark Johnston yard. Has won his last two races and looks a better 3 year-old than he did a 2 year old. Won by 6 lengths at Beverley and has been put up 8 pounds but I think is open to further improvement and represents excellent each-way value. 8-1 early. Each Way Bet advised on Topolski.
