4:04
Carl Harris:  lol, thanks, not our strong suit Cricket but will find someone whose it is. Hope you got on Dream Lodge?
4:02 Simon:  Bye all. It’s been fun. Not profitable, but fun.
4:01
Carl Harris:  OK guys thanks for joining this LIVE trading experiment. More to come later on events more suitable to Live trading.
3:57
3:55
Neil:  will be lucky to make 100
3:55
Carl Harris:  all over
3:53
Neil:  90 from 9 overs needed now
3:50
Neil:  PAkistan should qualify now, Netherlands need almost 10 an over to make 151
3:47
3:44
Neil:  I greened it up and took a free bet for a few £
3:44
3:44
Carl Harris:  It is all over now!
3:43
Carl Harris:  OUT
3:43
Neil:  I think so too and 2 out of 3 aint bad, was a risky strategy, backing the side that you thought would lose in a two horse race, but we live and learn
3:43
Carl Harris:  Im well up after that 6-1 shot won easily down to 3-1
3:42
Carl Harris:  Me too! Not the best event to try this but the concept is a good one?>
3:42
Neil:  no back price now, lost half of what I won yesterday
3:39
Neil:  all over surely
3:39
Carl Harris:   Racing Diary betting Tips!
3:38
Carl Harris:   Betfair Article this morning!
3:37
Carl Harris:  Dream Lodge lands a nice touch– 6-1 early and wins at 3-1
3:37
Carl Harris:  GAMBLE LANDED
3:35
Neil:  looking to peg the run rate back even further now and amke the Netherlands push
3:34
Carl Harris:  38-1 after 6. Not a good start!
3:33
Carl Harris:  7 from 4 balls
3:32
Carl Harris:  Missed catch does for 4
3:29
3:29
Neil:  Holland will need 10 from next over to stay on target for 151 to qualify
3:27
Carl Harris:  if they get through!
3:27 Simon:  Their, I mean.
3:27 Simon:  They’re Super 8s group is considerably easier than the other one.
3:26
Carl Harris:  just inconsistent!
3:26
Carl Harris:  They are a talented side
3:25 Simon:  On the plus side, I backed Pakistan to win the tournament. That is still a possibility despite their woeful fielding.
3:24
Carl Harris:  ANOTHER DROPPED EASY CATCH!
3:23
Carl Harris:  Simon- agreed…
3:23
Neil:  needs a boundary to stay in touch
3:23
Carl Harris:  Dream Lodge well backed at Redcar!!
3:23 Simon:  The game going distinctly as I thought it might. Sadly the market hasn’t. It’s a little less stressful laying an odds on bet than backing one though!
3:20
Carl Harris:  Holland do not look like they will get anywhere near the total!
3:20
Neil:  thats a let off
3:20
Carl Harris:  Dropped catch!
3:18
Carl Harris:  well it looks like Pakistan are in control.
3:18
Neil:  already behind the run rate, this is becoming painful!
3:16 Simon:  1.03!
3:16
Carl Harris:  1.04 now Pakistan
3:15
Carl Harris:  Pakistan get early wicket and kills the hopes of layers
3:15
FTHM:  That is the adress for the Voice Coach market
3:15
Carl Harris:  OUT
3:15
Carl Harris:  No liquity in Betfair until shortly before the off
3:14
FTHM:  so i think on the exchanges we will easily get 4.20
3:14
FTHM:  that market is set to a high percentage but
3:13
FTHM:  Fixed odds in Australia it is currently 3.60
3:13
Carl Harris:  which market Nathan?
3:12
FTHM:

what percentage is the market set to

3:12 Simon:  Voice Coach is 2.5 at the moment.
3:11
Carl Harris:  OK Nathan I will back that on Betfair
3:11
Carl Harris:  I love this software. We can add images and even video!
3:11
FTHM:  i think it will go around at 4.20 to 5.00
3:11
Expand
3:11
FTHM:  anything better than 2/1 will be good value
3:11
Carl Harris:  what price will it be nathan?
3:10
Neil:  statement of intent?
3:10
FTHM:  I have it rated clearly on top
3:10
FTHM:  Chris went over and bought 9 or 10 horses when he bought this one, most of them have been winning over the last few months
3:09
FTHM:  Ran 2nd on debut over here and goes up to a more suitable trip and has good scope for improvement
3:09
FTHM:  The horse is called Voice Coach now trained by Chris Waller, bought it as a tried horse through the Tattersals sales
3:09
Neil:  will aim for 175 to start I think, but may revise if they get early wickets
3:09
Carl Harris:  which one?
3:09
FTHM:  Race 3 from Canterbury (Sydney city track) tommorow has a former UK horse engaged that will win!
3:08
FTHM:

Interesting side note

3:08
Carl Harris:  Will Holland play for 151 they need or will they try to win the game?
3:07
Carl Harris:  lol
3:07
FTHM:  The answer is yes but generally under my desk!
3:07 Simon:  Sehwag has gone home. Bad for India’s chances?
3:07
FTHM:

I get asked that a lot!

3:06
Carl Harris:  Do we Lay Pakistan at 1.07 again?
3:03
Neil:  He may play for Lancashire next week, but he is talisman
3:03
Carl Harris:  Do you ever sleep Nathan?
3:02
Expand
3:02
FTHM:  He is merely a bonus to a side that plays strong at home. They have so much in their favour.
3:02
FTHM:  Englands chances does not revolve around Flintoff
3:01
FTHM:  Irrelevant
3:01
Neil:  Flintoff not fit yet
3:01
Neil:  The worry is who is fit for England… Pieterson may be out a few weeks with Achilles
3:00
FTHM:  They are a much better side back at home
3:00
FTHM:  The only recent big blemish for the poms was in the West Indies
but they had to play under farcial conditions
3:00
Neil:  at 1.06 I’m not going to make enough to cover the initial loss so will have to either live with it or ride it out and see what happens
2:59
Carl Harris:  Oh I wouldnt say that Nathan. I think we are moderate. Looked good against a very poor Windies side.
2:59
FTHM:  My initial analysis of that series says 2-1 to England or 3-1 to England
2:59
Neil:  I am inclined to hold on and see what happens, I am disappointed by the early bowling by Netherlands, they gave away silly runs
2:59
2:59
FTHM:  Well said Carl, as far as Im concerned Im already resigned to losing the Ashes.
2:59
Carl Harris:  Time for a cup of tea. Back for the second innings.
2:58
Carl Harris:  Holland go through with 151 but Nannes says they are chasing the Pakistan total. Can they hit the total.

Nannes is the only Aussie left in this tournament!!

2:58
FTHM:  Makes me laugh a bit, I had to turn my head to see who they were talking too!
2:57
FTHM:

In teresting hearing Dirk Nannes there representing the Netherlands with such a thick Australian accent

2:55
Carl Harris:  Neil- what is your advice in terms of trading position?
2:55
Expand
2:55
Carl Harris:  Holland can go through with a score of 150 and will probably aim for that
2:54
Neil:  thats a good score to win this game, but qualification might be a different matter
2:54
Carl Harris:  175 / 5
2:53
FTHM:  Carl we are now 4 from 4 on the Tennis
2:53
Carl Harris:  only a single- last ball of innings
2:51
2:50
Carl Harris:  3 balls 1 wicket one six!
2:50
Neil:  there’s my wicket
2:50
Carl Harris:  3rd ball..OUT Bowled him!
2:50
Carl Harris:  2nd ball SIX… huge hit! Out of the ground.
2:49
Neil:  Im expecting a wicket… Nannes is good
2:49
Carl Harris:  Here comes Nannes. Single only from 1st Ball. Good Start. Pakistan MUST swing the bat
2:48
Carl Harris:  How many from this over guys?
2:48
Carl Harris:  164 -4 Nannes comes on for the last over
2:47
Carl Harris:  No Wide
2:47
Carl Harris:  WIDE ???
2:47
Carl Harris:  162-4 18.4 overs
2:45 Simon:  I predict Afridi out first ball.
2:45
Carl Harris:  2. 158-4
2:45
Neil:  I wouldnt want to face him last over… especially if attacking the ball
2:45
Carl Harris:  Two overs to go…..
2:45
Carl Harris:  Nannes still has 1 over left
2:44
Carl Harris:  These two overs key to Pakistan staying in the tournament
2:44 Simon:  I was expecting a lot more runs than this.
2:44 Simon:  Here comes Whimper-Whimper Afridi!
2:44
Carl Harris:  18 overs Pakistan 156 -4. 2 overs to go.
2:43
2:43 Simon:  Boo, I had Younis Khan to be top scorer.
2:42
Carl Harris:  Caught. Pakistan now 152 for 4
2:42
Neil:  thats a better catch for us!
2:42
Carl Harris:  OUT
2:41
Carl Harris:  Great catch by MCC member!
2:41
Carl Harris:  and again! SIX
2:41
Carl Harris:  Remember Pakistan must win by 25 runs. SIX- big HIT
2:41
Neil:  that was a really poor ball
2:40
Neil:  This is an important over, if Seeallar can keep it to 6
2:40
Carl Harris:  139-3 after 17. 180 looks unlikely
2:39
Carl Harris:  not yet
the first 5 overs are the key ones of the Holland innings
2:38 Simon:  Anyone bailed out yet?
2:37
Carl Harris:  Pakistan say they were looking for 180 and thinks will get it!
2:35
Carl Harris:  130-3 after 16 overs
2:35
Neil:  Back ahead of 180 again now if 13 an over for last 4 overs
2:34
Neil:  First bottom edge for 4, good over for Pakistan
2:34
Carl Harris:  127-3 – 12 from the over so far
2:34
Carl Harris:  Big HIT SIX
2:33
Neil:  wow!
2:32
Neil:  those odds beginning to look skinny again at this run rate
2:31
Carl Harris:  15 overs gone 115-3. Nannes keeps runs down to 5.
2:31
Neil:  great over
2:30
Neil:  Nannes and Seelaar both have one over left, thats good news for us
2:29
Carl Harris:  What is the target runs now at this rate?
2:29
Carl Harris:  Fastest Bowler of the T20 so so far over 150 KPH Dirk Nannes
2:28 Simon:  Or Nannes!
2:28 Simon:  Come one Nalles.
2:28
Carl Harris:  Nannes Back on the attack
2:27
Carl Harris:  110-3 after 14 overs now Pakistan. Run Rate is Down.
2:26
Carl Harris:  first 4 in 30 balls – Dutch bowlers doing a good job.
2:26
Carl Harris:  107 for 3 Pakistan
2:25
Neil:  Not on a bowling wicket like this tho Simon
2:25
Carl Harris:  4 – first 4 for a while!
2:25 Simon:  Dutch went 160+ against England.
2:25
Carl Harris:  Saves another 4 at backward square
2:24
Carl Harris:  Still not hit a boundry since I pointed out the last statistic
2:24 Simon:  Another wicket and I am hanging in for the Dutch win!
2:24
Neil:  will keep the rate down…and I like this spin bowler
2:24
Carl Harris:  Misbah-UL-Haq at the crease/
2:24
Neil:  Another wicket now will do it
2:23
Carl Harris:  Price moving out now. 1.12. another quick wicket and we could go Green for the first time.
2:23
Carl Harris:  Big Wicket. They get themselves back do Holland. Malik out for 30 from 28 balls.
2:22 Simon:  Come on!
2:22
Neil:  Thats good hard working cricket from Netherlands
2:22
Carl Harris:  OUT
2:22
Carl Harris:  Agreed Simon. A few big hits early will see that drift
2:22 Simon:  Crowd getting restless.
2:21
Carl Harris:  This is a crucial period of the game. Holland bowling well. Pakistan will need to attack soon.
2:21 Simon:  If they only make 160 then 1.08 looks very skinny.
2:20
Carl Harris:  21 Balls since they hit a 4
2:19 Simon:  Good over lad!
2:17
Carl Harris:  Current run rate will see a 160 total. Holland pegged them back in last few overs.
2:15
Carl Harris:  Pakistan now   88-2 After 11 Overs. Younus and Malik are the Batsmen that are in. Target runs in the 180 region. David lloyd says not to underestimate Holland.
2:13 Simon:  If they can get a couple more wickets to get Boom-Boom in the price should drift as he is having a ‘mare.
2:12
Carl Harris:  y Khan comes in on strike.
2:11
Neil:  I will be holding on Simon, Akmal was an important wicket and I am looking to bail out to minimise loss too
2:11
Carl Harris:  WICKET and 4 from over too.. AKMAL out for 41- now 81 for 2.
2:10
Carl Harris:  on course for 180+
2:10
Neil:  Not whilst the run rate is this high
2:09
Carl Harris:  There will surely be some drift in the price.
2:08
Neil:  thats 200 scoring
2:08 Simon:  I have given up on a profit now. What’s the best price I can expect to bail out at?
2:08
Carl Harris:  77-1 after 9 overs
2:06
Carl Harris:  SIX… huge shot by Akmal
2:06
Carl Harris:  Dropped Catch!
2:05
Carl Harris:  Good tennis Bets Nathan!
2:05
Neil:  what worries me now is that Netherlands will not get anywhere near this run rate, this is a good bowling wicket, plenty of moisture and damp conditions for swing
2:05
Carl Harris:  Current Rate is 168 Target
2:04
Carl Harris:  63-1 after 8 overs
2:02
Carl Harris:  SIX
2:00
FTHM:  As the first set was completed the bet stands as a winning result
2:00
Neil:  This lad is good, on the money every ball, doesnt spin it enough for many wickets tho
2:00
FTHM:  Now we are 3 from 3 in the Tennis
Juan Carlos Ferrero won the 1st set then was 2-1 up in the 2nd set when Grosjean retired from the match
1:59
Carl Harris:  I agree Nathan. But no harm in riding out the position a bit longer
1:58
FTHM:  Which in turn basically means Pakistans price will stay very short from here on in unless they lose 5 wickets in the next 3 overs
1:58
FTHM:  And I am predicting that is the way they will bat
1:57
FTHM:  For Netherlands they do not need to win this match to make the next round, they only need to get within 24 runs of Pakistans total
1:57
Dave Angel:  way outside the line
1:57
FTHM:  You can be assured they will go hard from start to finish as they already have
1:56
Carl Harris:  LBW appeal turned down. NOT OUT
1:56
FTHM:  Under the finals scenario Pakistan need to win this by 25 or more to progress to the next round
1:56
Carl Harris:  RACING: NEWS IN FROM REDCAR- Howard Johnson’s 2 YO heavily backed to win the 2.00. My friend on course says looks the pick of the paddock.
1:56
Dave Angel:  Crikey that was some serious movement off the seam
1:55
Dave Angel:  Definitely too many buffet balls Surprised
1:55
Dave Angel:  Got away with that one!
1:54
Neil:  The run rate is currently heading to 200+ and Im not happy!
1:53
Neil:  Im really disappointed with Netherlands bowling, some good shots, but its easy against this quality of attack
1:53
Carl Harris:  46-1 after 5 overs. 9.2 run rate
1:53
FTHM:

run rate up to 9.2

1:52
Dave Angel:  Netherlands are under pressure now and it’s showing in their bowling
1:52
Carl Harris:  The money buyers are out with lumps of dough. Makes it hard to get a good price.
1:51 Pro Punter:  Pak will win this easily
1:51
Dave Angel:  £40K traded at 1.09
1:51
Neil:  ahead of 8 an over and thats good scoring by any team
1:51
Carl Harris:  Agreed Nathan. Akmal out soon will be in layers favour.
1:51
Neil:  its the run rate that is hammering the odds…..
1:50
FTHM:  It is the wicket of Akmal they need more than Butt
1:50 Simon:  Another quick wicket will move the price.
1:50
Dave Angel:  almost £100K at 1.11
1:50
Carl Harris:  SALMAN BUTT out for 18. 38-1. Caught,
1:50
Dave Angel:  couldn’t type fast enough
1:50
Neil:  I dont expect it to domuch at the moment
1:50
Dave Angel:  There’s the answer…
1:49
Carl Harris:  OUT
1:49
FTHM:  Carl i dont think it will do much at all to thep rice at the moment
1:49
FTHM:  Melzer too 3 sets to see off Clement after dropping the first set
1:49
Carl Harris:  Dave, what do you think a wicket (quickly) will do to the price of Pakistan.?
1:49
FTHM:  By the way both games from The Gerry Weber Open won
Zverev won in straight sets
1:48
Neil:  should have punished the full toss
1:48
Dave Angel:  That’s the break you need
1:48 Simon:  Catch it!
1:48
FTHM:  It looks likely they will surpass 180 with ease.
1:48
Carl Harris:  High Shot almost caught but lands safe.
1:48
FTHM:

For sure with 10 wickets in hand and 16 overs to go they will achieve this score with ease.

1:47
Carl Harris:  Pakistan Now 1.05 – 20-1 on
1:47
FTHM:  0/34 after 4 overs means they need 111 from their last 16 overs
that is 6.93 an over
1:47
Neil:  This is currently 190 scoring which is very very impressive
1:47
FTHM:  I think anything better than 145 will surely be enough to beat this Netherlands side
1:47
Dave Angel:  There looked to be a bit of swing on the last two balls of that over
1:47
Carl Harris:  After 4 overs it is 34 – 0 .
1:46
FTHM:  Even if they lose 2 or 3 quick wickets now they will keep on scoring quickly.
1:46
Neil:  I was amazed at how many runs they gave away in the field the other day
1:46
Carl Harris:  at the current prices plenty of time for change
1:46
FTHM:  They have a batting order that is full of depth
1:46
FTHM:  From what I see early it looks like the real Pakistan has shown up today, with the bat initially anyway.
1:46
Carl Harris:  We have laid Pakistan in the hope of a drift. We need a wicket to see some outward movement on the price. So far Pakistan are hitting them all over the park!
1:45
FTHM:  Dirk Nannes has been the leading 20/20 bowler in Australian domestic cricket for the last 2 years.
1:45
FTHM:  I have been watching the Tennis. Our 2 games for the Gerry Weber Open have been completed.
1:44
Carl Harris:  Welcome to Nathan Lynch from Down Under.
1:44 Pro Punter:  Almost played on there
1:44
FTHM:  Carl, how is things progressing.
1:43
Carl Harris:  First SIX of the innings in the first ball of the over. Fine leg coming up and point going back in the field.
1:43
Neil:  great shot, made room and its away
1:43
Dave Angel:  Buffet Ball!!
1:42
Carl Harris:  Bodyline delivery. Nannes looks sharp.
1:42
Neil:  dot ball delivered
1:42
Dave Angel:  need a dot ball here to maintain pressure
1:41
Carl Harris:  and again. wild swing. missed by a mile. first signs of hope for layers.
1:41 Simon:  Nannes hitting 92mph.
1:40
Carl Harris:  Pakistan swung for one and missed a top edge. I have also laid a further £500 at 1.08.
1:40
Neil:  Nannes can bowl, but no depth to bowling
1:40 Simon:  Yeah, lol!
1:40
Dave Angel:  I hope you mean 1.09
1:39
Dave Angel:  another bad ball, full and into his pads, you simply cannot bowl like this to batsmen of this quality as they will punish you
1:39 Simon:  Just laid again at 1.9. Let’s have a wicket!
1:38
Carl Harris:  1.08 after 2 overs!!
1:38
Neil:  that puts them 1 ahead of the run rate for 180 in my book
1:38
Dave Angel:  That is provided they don’t bowl wide half volley balls to quality batsmen!
1:38
Carl Harris:  2 overs gone 17-0.
1:37
Dave Angel:  As Carl says, a wicket will see a change!
1:37
Dave Angel:  That’s normal Simon, it’s a knee jerk reaction typical on short priced teams
1:36
Carl Harris:  Correction – 4. Simon the odds in 2020 are so volotile. A wicket will see them go out much more.
1:36
Neil:  was only 4
1:35
Carl Harris:  SIX- pakistan punish a short one for 6
1:35
Neil:  2 good strokes Simon
1:34 Simon:  Only 5 off the first over and the price drops to 1.13? Confused!
1:34
Carl Harris:  5 from the first over, A few more of those should see the odds drift.
1:33
Carl Harris:  Holland are proving good in the field. They made two good stops saving 4′s
1:32
Carl Harris:  Sky?
1:32
Neil:  yep
1:32
Carl Harris:  You got pictures there Neil?
1:32
Neil:  lively!
1:31
Carl Harris:  I will not give ball by ball commentry- that would be too much!
1:31
Dave Angel:  I’m sure he is hoping for Pakistan to progress
1:30
Carl Harris:  Peter Webb has just advised through my speakers that the market has gone in play!
1:30
Dave Angel:  As an aside, one of our clients has flown over from Pakistan to watch the T20 World Cup and trade it, how’s that for a love of the game!!
1:30
Neil:  This guy Nannes is a proper bowler, he thinks he should have been in the Aussie side
1:30
Carl Harris:  OK, the game is about to start. Akmal on Strike. Nannes to start the attack.
1:29 Pro Punter:  A bit of a fan. Interested to see how to trade a 2020 game though. I like this system. its good.
1:28
Neil:  Akram was a class act when playing, will be interesting to hear his comments because I dont think he is very impressed with the current team
1:27
Carl Harris:  Welcome Pro. You a cricket Fan?
1:27 Pro Punter:  Only Kidding. It looks good. Just looking at it.
1:26
Carl Harris:  No.. I just love it!! Thanks, I heard that they fancy it.
1:26
Neil:  You were spot on with Dream Lodge at Redcar Carl… keeps being nibbled and has shortened
1:26
Dave Angel:  No he’s not
1:25 [Comment From Pro Punter]
You must be on commission from Bet Angel Carl?
1:25
Neil:  Nice way to start the day
1:25
Dave Angel:  Because Pakistan have to perform so well, both to regain some respect and progress they are under tremendous pressure. This can cause players to make mistakes and perform poorly so they could implode…then all the layers will be very happy Cool
1:24
Carl Harris:  My Bet Angel Trading Calculator says 1.5 would give me a guaranteed £113.
1:23
Neil:  we could close down and watch the game!
1:23
Neil:  oh how wonderful 1.5 would be after 5 overs Carl!
1:22
Carl Harris:  Laying at 1.16 is a low risk position. I have laid them for £500 – only an £80 liability.
1:22
Dave Angel:  I agree, you don’t get a chance to assess a bowler etc. You almost have to go out and start blazing away. That’s what happened to Australia yesterday with the new spin sensation Mendis
1:21
Neil:  looking at the sky in the background and it would seem that no showers in the immediate future, of course, that is all the more reason for Pakistan to get a shift on in the Powerplay, in case rain shortens the game
1:20
Neil:  This has to be closer than 1/7!!!
1:20
Neil:  Darren Gough has been interesting on Talksport Friday night for the lat few weeks…. he says taht all T20 games are close, closer than anybody can imagine
1:19 Dave Angel:  This form of cricket brings teams together, a bit of bad luck, a bit of good luck, a fielding error etc and form can suddenly go out of the window
1:18
Carl Harris:  Sky are showing how poor Pakistan can be in the field. David Lloyd says it depends which Pakistan turns up today.
1:18
Neil:  If Nannes comes out firing on this damp wicket, that could also peg back Pakistans scoring rate
1:16
Carl Harris:  I have laid Pakistan as an opening position. Yesterday the odds were volotile, to say the least. There were upwards of 10 major swings in the Sri Lanka game.
1:16
Neil:  so thats a boundary per over
1:16
Neil:  thats my view too Dave, they have to be 8 an over at the start
1:15 Dave Angel:  If they lose a wicket then you’re in a great position
1:15
Dave Angel:  If they get off to a total stormer then the price won’t move in so much that the risk will be large. If they make a sticky start as already mentioned then you should be in a green position straight off the bat…forgive the punSurprised
1:13
Carl Harris:  No worries Dave. Welcome back.
1:13
Dave Angel:  IMHO I think laying Pakistan is a viable play.
1:13
Dave Angel:  Sorry guys, I lost my connection there
1:11
Neil:  yes, for certain, they ill want to play themselves in after performing so poorly so far and then get some batting pracitice
that will lead to a lowish run rate especially against the Dutch opening bowlers, it should cause the first change in odds
1:10
Carl Harris:  We will also be using Betangel Trading Software. today
1:09
Carl Harris:  Neil do you advise laying Pakistan as an opening Position?
1:09
Neil:  anything less that 8 an opver in first 3-4 overs will cause a drift is my prediction
1:09 Dave Angel:  Thanks Carl
1:08 Simon:  Ok, I’ve laid Pak at 1.16. It will drift in the first couple of overs (I hope)!
1:08
Carl Harris:  Yes. Spoke to Dave Earlier. In future I hope that Dave and his colleagues at Betangel will work with us for mutual benefit. Get well soon Dave.
1:07 Dave Angel:  I have joined today to get involved with something that looks very exciting
1:07 [Comment From Dave Angel]
Thanks Carl / Neil…as Carl knows, I am a bit under the weather at the moment with a recurring virus
1:06
Neil:  Welcome Dave…. have you taken an opening position yet?
1:05
Carl Harris:  Welcome to Dave from Betangel- a Trading Expert!
1:05 [Comment From Dave Angel]
Pakistan have won the toss
1:05 [Comment From Dave Angel]
Pakistan chose to Bat
1:04
Neil:  the damp will give the wicket some life
1:04
Carl Harris:  Holland no changes from the side that beat England.
1:04
Neil:  Pakistan believe this is a 180/190 wicket…. thats interesting
Will Afridi open and swing the bat early
1:03
Carl Harris:  Pakistan Win Toss and will BAT FIRST
1:02
Carl Harris:  The Toss Live….on Sky Sports 1 now
1:02
Neil:  I agree Simon, its interesting that Pakistan are also looking to improve their NRR

1:01 [Comment From Simon]
I think that’s a reasonable price. I think Netherlands will get skittled for a low total. I am hoping Pakistan bat first, and maybe lose an early wicket so the odds drift a little. There’s definitely money to be made here!
1:00
Neil:  Just checking for team news……
12:59
Neil:  There are predictions of showers in the London area this afternoon… showers are difficult to pinpoint, obviously, but if we get a shower and a shortend game then anything can happen
12:57
Carl Harris:  Neil. Have you Checked the Weather for this match?
12:56
Neil:  I think that Pakistan will win comfortably they are a very good T20 team

12:52
Neil:  ANd that is part of our opportunity to make some money this afternoon
12:51
Neil:  and will the odds stay at 1/7 throughout the game.. I think not
12:51
Neil:  I appreciate what you are saying Simon, but are they a 1/7 chance?
12:50 [Comment From Neil]
okay, back lunched and ready to rade some cricket!
12:48 [Comment From Simon]
Pakistan are a great T20 side. I predict a comprehensive victory and qualification to the Super 8s. From there they have a great chance of the semis.
12:45
Carl Harris:  Possible Team News: The Dutch should opt to retain their successful XI but Pakistan will make at least one change with Yasir Arafat (strained hamstring) likely to be replaced by Sohail Tanvir.

Racing Diary:

The Game…Starts 1.30 Lords.
Pakistan face being dismissed from a major tournament at the hands of a minnow for the second time in two years later on Tuesday.

Younis Khan’s team must beat rank outsiders Holland comprehensively to assure their place in the Super Eights stage of the World Twenty20.

Pakistan- 1.15, Holland 7.2

Are Pakistan Genuine 1.15 Shots ?

Their performance against England on Sunday night did not offer much encouragement of avoiding another early exit – they were dumped out of the 2007 World Cup by Ireland – but their overall 20-over record of only four losses from 18 matches

Brown Short Price to be Gone by End of Month…

Money Talks…It Says Brown is on his way!

Is Brown a Dead Man Walking?

Is Brown a Dead Man Walking?

Pressure may be mounting in Westminster on Gordon Brown, but looking at Betfair, in racing terminology he is now off the bridle and struggling to stay in the race! Money has come today and Alan Johnson is now favourite to be the next Prime Minister.

David Cameron was favourite and certainly the Conservatives are 1.15 to win the election, but now Brown looks a goner. Alan Johnson is 2.66 favourite to be the next PM. The market for leaders exit dates shows that Gordon Brown is now 2.3 to be gone by the end of June, not June 2010 but in less than 4 weeks. The Labour Party now have only 18% support in the polls (the lowest figure ever) and the Conservatives hold a 22 point lead. No wonder David Cameron is calling for a general election! Labour MP’s could well move to oust Gordon Brown as they worry about their seats in the next general election. If they get rid now they could have a year to build up the support to stay on the Westminster gravey train. The market supports that view.

The money is coming in relatively big volumes, for a market that is normally quiet. You can Back or Lay those odds but it is not looking good for Gordon Brown.

It is like rats leaving a sinking ship with Jacqui Smith and now Communities Secretary Hazel Blears has quit the cabinet, increasing the pressure on Gordon Brown. Health Secretary Alan Johnson has been forced to deny he is ready to take over amid reports of a backbench plot to oust the PM. But the Betfair market says otherwise! Sky News has just reported that Labour MP’s are trying to get him to resign. They have a copy of an email doing the rounds and a plot is underway!

Adam Boulton, Political Editor at Sky News, says the decisive factor of course will be how the party does in this week’s council and European Elections. Of course they will lose and history could repeat itself.  Boulton says;

Margaret Thatcher and Tony Blair were both forced out before their time and John Major spent his last few years fighting for survival until the 1997 General Election gave him the coup de grace. Basically for a leader to go he must lose his authority both with his own Government team and with backbenchers, fearful he is dragging them to oblivion. Margaret Thatcher suffered first the loss of her Chancellor Nigel Lawson in 1989 and then in 1990 the resignation of Sir Geoffrey Howe.  Read Jacqui Smith for Lawson, and wonder if Alistair Darling perhaps could be the Geoffrey Howe figure.

If the plot is in the offing, the market knows. If this was a race it would be a real gamble with someone knowing something! What do you think? Back Brown or Lay Brown… your opinion could make you money on Betfair…

Racing Diary Lands 6-1 Winning Double…

Hannon Win Double

Hannon Win Double

A Win Double Landed at Windsor…6/1+

Racing Diary advised a nice 6-1+ winning double on Monday. Lethal Glaze went off at 5-1 and Monsieur Chevalier was only a 1-3 shot after the race cut up badly. The 1-3 was an easy win that provided a nice bonus on our winnings.

Racing Diary advised the Double in our daily Horseracing Tips on Monday. This was a lovely winning double at Windsor completed by another double, the two Richards.

Both horses were trained by by Richard Hannon and ridden by Richard Hughes. It really was a winning double all round! If you placed your bet using a Betfair multiple on the betting exchanges then your return would be even higher as Lethal Glaze drifted on Betfair.

Richard Hughes was patient and landed the second leg of the win double to complete a treble. Both horses in fact completed a treble of wins.

Job Done…make sure you come back for more winners at Racing Diary!

Saturday’s Horseracing Tips…

Jamie Spencer

Jamie Spencer

Jamie Spencer will he be our Hero, or Villain?

If you are a regular reader of Racing Diary you will know that we are on Delegator for the 2000 Guineas today. I do not propose to go into detail about Brian Meehan’s colt again, you can read that from previous postings.

We have produced a full preview of the race…you can also see Mike Cattermole’s Video Preview of the 2000 Guineas (from Youtube)

We are holding 8/1 vouchers and I hope that Spencer rides Delegator up closer to the pace. If Murtagh gets first run, as he did last year on Henrythenavigator it could be decisive. Delegator has a turn of foot, but please Jamie, don’t give him too much to do!

I hope that Jamie Spencer gets Delegator home to win the 2000 Guineas. If you are backing any horse today then you MUST back it with Stan James. You get a £25 Free Bet plus they will give you 5% Bonus on your winnings.

stan_james_racing_generic_468x60

You will find plenty on Racing Diary about the 2000 Guineas, but there is a great supporting card too at Newmarket. It starts with the Suffolk Stakes Handicap (2.00) where Spencer partners Flipando. I have put this one up today because I feel the form stacks up and the early prices look value. The partnership with Spencer and the third in The Lincoln of ground similar to today are a big plus.

I hope Spencer gets off to a flying start and his confidence is high. Certanly Flipando is an each-way bet today and gets Spencer in the winning habit.

Borderlescott (3.45) is everyone’s favourite sprinter and I will be backing him today to win on his seasonal return. Pat Cosgrave gave Robin Bastiman’s charge a fine ride to win the Nunthorpe, at Newmarket (rearranged from York) for a deserved Group 1 victory. The horse goes well fresh and has no penalty in this Group 3. You can get he will be ready. I had a horse with Bastiman who landed us a gamble after over 300 days off the course.

There is also a great day in store at Punchestown and some excellent football bets, but the big one is the Stan James 2000 Guineas, live on Channel 4 at 3.10pm. We took 8-1 about Delegator, lets hope it was a good investment.

Today’s Horseracing Betting Tips..

Quevega Can win at Punchestown

Quevega Can win at Punchestown

Top Class Stuff at Punchestown, Shame about the Rest!

I am enjoying the Punchestown Festival, despite mixed fortunes for our tips so far. Super Frank was a good winner yesterday and on the day before the 2000 Guineas, the cards are no up to much today.

That is with the exception of Punchestown where Mullins and Walsh are dominating proceedings.

Today I start writing for Betfair and I hope that I get off the mark with a nice winner. I have gone for Quevega as my bet of the Day in the 6.05 at Punchestown.

I was there to see Quevega destroy a quality field in the Mare’s Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival, a performance that was as good as Master Minded’s in winning the 2007 Champion Chase, in my eyes. Willie Mullin’s has pitched the mare in against top class opposition, not least Champion Hurdler Punjabi who seeks to win the race he won last year.

Punjabi is not for me today, he wants faster ground. There is a top class field but Mullins and Walsh are in top form and Quevega is very special, which she will prove today.

The pair should also win the 6.35 with Mikael Dhaguenet who is very short, but looks a good thing and one for doubling up your bets today.

The only horse of interest in the UK today is La Capriosa (3.05) at Southwell. She was second at Redcar in a better Claimer and back on sand has the beating of the field. She was in front of Maddison Belle when they last met and should be again.

We laid one of Alan Mccabe’s yesterday, it got well beaten, but he should have a winner for us today!

Its the 2000 Guineas on Saturday, I can’t wait!

Thursday’s Horseracing Betting Tips…

Punchestown Day Three

Punchestown Day Three

We’ll Be Singing When We’re Winning at Punchestown

Mayhem broke out at Cheltenham after Forpadydeplasterer (6.40) won the Arkle, the owners singing loudly and brightening up the winners enclosure. It is back to business on home turf today as Forpadydeplasterer returns to action in the Swordlestown Cup Novice Chase on day three of the Punchestown Festival .

Barry Geraghty is back on board, facing only six rivals, including Tatenen who fell in The Arkle and came back to be second to Kalahri King at Aintree. Tony McCoy will ride the Paul Nicholls trained Tatenen with Ruby Walsh choosing Deutschland for Willie Mullins. Forpadydeplasterer missed the Aintree race in favour of this, a decision that could pay dividends for the choir of owners. I am very keen on Forpadydeplasterer today and will be a backer at 2.62. I will be a layer of Tatenen at 4.4, taking my lead from Ruby Walsh and I hope to be joining in the singing of the Forpadydeplasterer syndicate after he has won.

The big race of the day is the World Series Hurdle at 5.30. Nicky Henderson has withdrawn Punchestowns leaving Fiveforthree as the favourite. Trading at 2.52 to back, this is much too short in my eyes. I will take this one on today with Fair Along and Powerstation having solid each-way claims at better odds. Tony McCoy back on board Brave Inca is eye-catching to say the least. I do not think there is much between the favourite and Fair Along who I am backing win and place against the favourite.

My bet of the day is actually at Folkstone, rather than Punchestown today. Superfrank (3.55) was a good winner last time out over Course and Distance in an apprentice race and remains on a good mark. A big positive is the booking of Chris Catlin and I think Super Frank will frank the form.  Super Frank is a very solid proposition to back at 2.3 in a moderate 7 runner race.

One horse that jumps out of the card is Thomas Baines (5.25 Yarmouth). Trading at 1.33 this was the subject of controversy at Windsor amongst punters for the ride given by Jamie Spencer.  I am sure there will be no mistakes this time, but there will be none of my money on his back today!
