The King’s Speech has swept the boards at the Screen Actors Guild Awards and as a result the prices for Oscar Betting glory have once more been slashed. The King’s Speech is now 4/9 favourite to win Best film from 7/4, Colin Firth is 1/33 from 1/20 and the biggest mover of the lot has been Tom Hooper who has been cut from 8/1 to 6/5 to win the Best Director Oscar.
“The King’s Speech goes from strength to strength over the award season and we have one customer who has risked £2000 to win just £100 that Colin Firth wins an Oscar,” said Hill’s spokesman Rupert Adams.
