This is the last day of summer in our house at least as my daughter is back in school on Tuesday, so I probably won’t get involved today.
3:45 Goodwood Titus Mills, Win. Brian Mehan has been really good form of late, and the standout bet of the day, in my view is Titus Mills at Goodwood. It is somewhat disappointing that only six runners have been declared for this listed juvenile contest, a rarity on a Monday, but what we like in quantity we are compensated for in quality. We don’t have much to go onin terms of form here but what we do know is that the stables two year-olds improve significantly for their first run and this one was a good winner first time out. A stable inform is always worth following and this is my best bet of the day on Monday.

Paco Boy was beaten in France on Sunday as Richard Hughes went for a non-existent gap on the fence. Ryan Moore made a return to the saddle this weekend but Paul Hanagan is now over 30 in front (at time of writing) in the race to be champion jockey.
All in all it was a disappointing weekend for us but looking at the long-term it has been a very good season, and it’s not over yet!
