Saturdays Free Horseracing Tips….

2:30 Newbury, Sans Frontieres, Win. Jeremy Noseda is a very good trainer with a decent crop of horses. San Frontiers has always been held in high regard and can continue his recent resurgence in the CGA Geoffrey Freer Stakes at Newbury. The chestnut was considered a viable Derby contender after his eyecatching third in the 2009 Dante Stakes at York but injury has seriously impeded his progression. After almost a year off the track, he looked a shadow of his former self when well beaten on his comeback at Newmarket and his next run at Chester did not inspire much confidence either. However, a step up to a mile and a half in the Hardwicke Stakes certainly seemed to suit when he finished fourth behind Harbinger. He then confirmed that promise with victory in the Princess of Wales’s Stakes. The form looks rock-solid with the runner-up, Redwood, going on to subsequent success at Glorious Goodwood. With Johnny Murtagh booked to ride, it will be disappointing if Sans Frontieres does not make his presence felt.

3:30 Ripon Tiddliwinks, Win. We have already said that Tiddliwinks is the one in the Great St Wilfred, a horse who arrives at Ripon in pretty good form. His forth last time out to Joseph Henry, who missed the cut here, in the Stewards Cup is a big positive, running very well from the number one box. The draw is crucially important at Ripon with horses being drawn 10 or higher having won 9 of the last 10 runnings of this race. Tiddliwinks is drawn 10 and looks ready to visit the winners enclosure again.  Trainer Kevin Ryan also believes that he has a big chance of winning the Great St Wilfred.
