England have dangled an Ashes plane ticket in front of Eoin Morgan and asked him to grab it.
Ian Bell’s foot injury opened the door for Morgan to keep his place for the First Test against Pakistan ahead of Ravi Bopara, and the England selectors plumped for the Irishman. With Paul Collingwood returning to the top six after his Test rest, Bopara’s Ashes chances have taken a dip as only seven batsmen are likely to go to Australia.
