Ahead of the German Grand Prix this weekend, the Red Bull pairing of Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber are 15/8 favourite and 5/2 second favourite respectively. Who though is the lead driver?
The owner of Red Bull Racing, Dietrich Mateschitz, has denied allegations of favouritism within the team, insisting Australia’s Mark Webber and Germany’s Sebastian Vettel are equal. Suggestions of preferential treatment were raised after a controversial decision at the British Grand Prix.
Now we will see at this weekend’s German Grand Prix….It should be a great race;
Brit, Lewis Hamilton is the 7/2 third favourite with Fernando Alonso just behind at 11/2. Lewis Hamilton is still the 6/4 favourite to win the F1 Drivers Championship despite the fact that Vettel (2/1) and Webber (7/2) are breathing down his neck.
Lewis Hamilton is holding on to the lead in the F1 Drivers Championship by the skin of his teeth and the Red Bull boys are certainly the men to beat at the moment. The betting suggests that Hamilton could well hold on to his lead just long enough to squeak a narrow Championship title, said Hills spokesman Joe Crilly.
