Its the end of the jumps season and once again Tony McCoy will be crowned Champion Jockey for the 15th time in a row. It is just so routine that he will not get the plaudits he deserves. But fifteen times in a row is simply sensational. McCoy has had a terrific year winning the Champion Hurdle and the Grand National for the first time.

There are plenty of people calling for Tony McCoy to be named BBC Sport Personality of the Year, but in all honesty people put too much stock in the BBC, racing folks know that McCoy is the greatest jump jockey of all time.

Here are your free horseracing tips for Saturday 24 April;

2:30 Sandown, Twist Magic- Win. Back at his favourite venue Twist Magic can show his class and sign off with a win. He is in a different class to this lot and he is hard to oppose here despite having pulled up at Cheltenham and refused to race at Punchestown where he was amongst the favourites for a better race than this. His refusal to race does race an obvious concern and the travelling may have taken something out of him but his record here is exemplary and he’s gone well for Sam Thomas. Great to see Sam Thomas riding for Paul Nicholls again.

3:40 Sandown, Paco Boy- Win. This is a proper quality horse, Paco Boy who took this contest last year and can repeat the feat; I am backing Paco Boy despite the concern that he’s perhaps a better horse over seven furlongs. However, that didn’t stop him in 2009 and it shouldn’t this time around either as he is the best horse in the line-up, goes well fresh and represents a yard firing in winners.

Crowded House to win at Sandown

4:15 Sandown, Crowded House- Win. This has to be the bet of the day. With a rating of 117, you don’t get many that good, he ran in Dubai and infact contested the world’s richest race, The Dubai World Cup. Brian Meehan has his string in good order which will hopefully help our pick reproduce his best form, form that is of a standard that should be too good for these. One-time favourite for The Derby, this colt has ultimately been a bit disappointing since landing the Racing Post Trophy as a juvenile but this looks a good chance to get his career back on track. He looked in form in Dubai. Bet of the Day.

Good Luck.
