Who? Yes that is what I said when I got the latest press release from William Hill. Matt Allright has attracted serious support for The One Show Hot Seat when Ardian Childs goes to ITV and GMTV.

His trademark programme, Rogue Traders, mixes journalism with humour in a way that makes you feel like you’re going along for the ride. That is according to his official website at least. Other websites describe him as annoying and smarmy. Not me though, no!
William Hill have seen a real gamble on Matt Allright being the next permanent presenter of The One Show and he has been slashed from 33/1 to 10/1 to get the job. “Matt is by far the best backed contender and the money suggests that he has made the shortlist,” said Hill’s spokesman Rupert Adams.
