Cheltenham is drawing ever nearer and all we need now is for the ground to improve. Good ground would be perfect for what promises to be a fantastic four days of racing.
Having just seen the weather forecast for Yorkshire (Gods own county) I would be amazed if Doncaster survives the 8am inspection with 5cm of snow forecast to come down over night.
That leaves Ludlow and a couple of all weather cards. Sadly there is nothing to get excited about on Wednesday, minimum stakes are advised if there is no Doncaster.
2:35 Doncaster, Special Envoy- Win. Nicky Henderson has a host of runners lined up today. Special Envoy should make the trip to Doncaster worth it for Barry Geraghty and get off the mark at the third time of asking over fences. A couple of good runs at Ffos Las and Bangor should give him the experience to win here, in a winable race.

1:50 Ludlow, Great Reason- Win. Another Henderson runner is the only bet at Ludlow today, it may however be a shorter than desired price and if so do not be afraid to let it go. I think this one will win readily and certainly last time out’s second to Mile Chief looks very solid form, which should see him home readily today.
