Tuesday was a poor day with three bets all running seconds, at decent prices. Thank god for in play betting! The weekend will soon be here! The big guns will be out but the small pistols are out in force today.
Two jumps and two flat meetings today, but I have written off the jumps cards, poor ground and poor horses all adds up to no interest. Todays Free Horseracing Tips are confined to the all-weather and in particular Lingfield.
All Weather action at Leafy Lingfield
2:25 Lingfield, Stanley Goodspeed- Win. Named after Nicholas Cage’s character in The Rock, an excellent film staring Sean Connery. No world beater but the equine version is in decent form and comes here with two wins at the course, the last over course and distance. It is a competitive looking affair but I will keep the faith here with Stanley Goodspeed.
2:55 Lingfield, Zerzura- Win. It is not often that HRA Cecil has a runner in February on the all-weather at Lingfield on a Wednesday. Zerzura won a maiden at Wolverhampton and was awarded a mark of 73. Charles Eddery who claims seven takes the ride and has arguably a better pedigree than the horse. With the seven pounds taken off here I think we should have a winner for the legendary trainer.
