We have had a couple of great days of racing. What A friend Won the Lexus, which was a really good performance and a winner for us (even if a day late).
Wednesday sadly is not inspiring. I would be surprised if Haydock goes ahead and even if it does it is not for me. A quiet day in store which I will invest some family time today. I have just two bets at Taunton for you on Wednesday.
12:40 Taunton Dolly Penrose- Win. Not the great race ever run but you would be hard pushed to find anyone not impressed by Dolly Penrose’s 10 length win at Exeter on her hurdles debut. Rated in the 80’s on the flat she should genuine promise over jumps and can confirm that with a win here. The main danger would be the Alan King runner but Dolly Penrose is my best bet of the day.
13:10 Taunton Tito Bustillo- Win. Last time he beat the well regarded The Betchworth Kid who Alan King said would win the Champion Hurdle. I am not sure about that but I would suggest that this is very good form and should see Paul Nicholls win another race with a promising horse. If we can find a Champion Hurdle contender for Paul Nicholls then it may be worth backing Nicholls for a clean sweep of the Cheltenham Festival championship races. Sadly Tito Bustillo is only a four year-old so he is not the one but Tito Bustillo is a promising novice who should win this and generate a few quid for the betting bank.
Carl Harris’ Best Bets for Wednesday 30 December
- 12:40 Taunton Dolly Penrose- Win
- 13:10 Taunton Tito Bustillo- Win
