Sandown’s Tingle Creek meeting kicks off with a decent card on Friday with some much needed quality action after a moderate week (in the UK). It is well worth waiting for and there are numerous good bets on offer at Sandown.

The Tingle Creek itself will feature only five runners but it is a quality field and I fancy Well Chief to upset Big Zeb. Twist Magic has lay written all over it and I shall be taking the early prices about the Nicholls horse.

I will focus on Sandown on Friday, which is where thw best racing of the day is to be found. Here are my best bets of the day;

12:50 Sandown, Evening Sunset- Win. Two wins so far suggest that Evening Sunset is a a useful hurdler. Tony McCoy takes the ride having ridden the filly to victory at Fakenham last time out. Likely to be a short price but there may be some value in a race where the hat-trick should be landed and yet another McCoy winner added to his total.

13:25 Sandown, Rivaliste- Win. I was hugely impressed with Rivalise at Newbury last week with Ruby Walsh having a good ride on a young horse who jumps well and looks to have a big future. The weight for age allowance means that despite that win and the penalty he is not over burdened and can follow up for the team who saddle Twist magic in Saturday’s big race. The same connections could complete a quick double with Like Minded (14:00) who was also an impressive winner last time.

Tatenen can land the odds

14:35 Sandown- Tatenen- Win. The best race of the day is entitled the ‘Future Stars Chase’ but Tatenen is already highly regarded, certainly by his trainer. Certainly this is a race that looks to be heading the way of the Champion Trainer with Tatenen and Kicks For Free with Tony McCoy riding the stable second string. With McCoy getting rides for Nicholls could we see him on Denman in the Gold Cup? Tatenen should be too good for these today.

I suggest another multi-bet and would be surprised not be collect a profit.
