It’s Tuesday and for those who have the back to work blues, then I have a couple of bets that should blow those away. There are, for a Tuesday, a couple of decent races today which have attracted highly rated decent horses.
There are three meetings on Tuesday in the UK and over in Ireland they are racing at laytown on the sand, it’s not quite like Southwell, they run on the beach and is a unique and fun to watch fixture.

4.00 Ripon Tawaabb, Win
Tawaabb (4.00) won a Leicester maiden in May and has been running much better company than he faces today since that day at Leicester. Third to Radiohead in the Group 2 Norfolk Stakes at Royal Ascot and a creditable run in the group one July Stakes at Newmarket last time out should be form more than good enough to land this conditions event . A big drop in grade is a huge plus and Tawaabb is the best bet of the day.
4.20 Leicester- Dandy Man, Win
Godolphin may be disappointed with Dandy Man’s (4.20) results since they acquired him, but there is no denying his claims in this conditions event. Rarely seen outside of the top sprint contests Dandy Man will find this drop in grade to his liking. This looks a straight match with Dandy Nicholls’ Peace Offering but Godolphin and Dettori (here I go again) are in great form of late and I think Dandy Man in a very good bet. Usually seen on a Saturday Dandy Man should be luckier on a Tuesday!
