Six flat meetings kick off a busy weekend of racing on Friday. Saturday’s action looks excellent with top quality cards at Newbury, Newmarket and it’s Ripon’s big day of the year with the Great St Wilfred Handicap providing a difficult puzzle to solve. We will of course be providing you with an in-depth preview of the big Saturday races here at Racing Diary We have three bets for you today.

Godolphin provide our NAP on Friday
2.45 Newcastle- Diamond Daisy, Win
Sylvester De Sousa is riding very well at the moment and can enhance those statistics with another win aboard the Ann Duffield trained Diamond Daisy (2.45). The filly won well, with De Sousa in the plate, on Monday at Thirsk and can win again under a penalty in what doesn’t look the strongest of races. Jenny’s Pride only won a seller last time out, form that shouldn’t be good enough to trouble Diamond Daisy.
2.35 Nottingham- High Achieved, Win
Peter Chapple-Hyam has not had the best of seasons, by his standards, so far and has only managed one winner from 18 runners in the past 14 days. High Achieved (2.35) was a good winner on her debut at Salisbury and makes her handicap debut here at Nottingham, running off a mark of 72 which should be good enough. All her opponents hold no secrets from the handicapper, but connections will be hoping for improvement from Salisbury and that she will go on to be better than this level.
8.45 Kempton- Musleh, Win (NAP)
Musleh (8.45) made his handicap debut over course and distance last week, winning very readily. A six pounds penalty is carried today but that should not stop this progressive three year-old who could be a very decent horse and improve way past this level before long. Frankie Dettori is one of the best from the front and last time at Kempton he dictated the pace and made all to win eased down. There looked to be plenty left in the tank and I have to say I think Musleh is something of a good thing in this all weather kempton handicap.
Good Luck!
