Although there is better racing elsewhere on Wednesday, I will be off to Beverley where there is the usual competitive card. It may be tough, but if you get it right at Beverley you are usually rewarded with a decent price, so I will be trying to find you a couple of winners there today.

My two bets at Beverley are;
4.50 Beverley- Upton Seas, Win
I don’t know where Mick Easterby got this one from, but he has improved it. Two runs for the yard and two wins. The handicapper is still trying to catch up with this one and has put the filly up 9 pounds for her win at Thirsk, having already added 7 to her mark for winning over today’s course and distance. If I know Mick, and having punted his horses for years, the market will tell you if this is going to win or not. If it drifts, don’t bother, but I would image that the opposite will be the case and it may be worth getting on early.
5.20 Beverley- Fossgate, Win
Named after a street in York, Fossgate was streets ahead of the rest last time at Ripon and carries a penalty for that easy win. Neil Callan is given the ride today, huge positive for this course and distance winner who is right back to form and is on a good mark. Mister Fizzbomb was a good winner last time too and is the one to worry about but Fossgate, I think is on a good mark and runs well at Beverley. Fossgate for me.
