Come the race Fame and Glory was never off the steel and won easy as you like under Johnny Murtagh. It was trainer Aidan O’Brien’s seventh Irish Derby and Murtagh’s third.

Stan James Reaction to Fame and Glory’s Irish Derby Win…
FAME AND GLORY is now the 4-1 (from 8) joint-favourite with Stan James for the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe at Longchamp in October after victory in the Group 1 Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby.
The Aidan O’Brien-trained three-year-old shares the head of the market with stanjames.com 2000 Guineas and Investec Derby winner Sea The Stars
Fame And Glory has also been cut to 3-1 (from 6) for the King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes at Ascot in July.
The Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud was won by Spanish Moon who is 33-1 (from 66) for the Arc. The favourite Youmzain, who was back in third, is 25 (from 20) for the Group 1.
Alfred Nobel is 20-1 (first show) for the stanjames.com 2000 Guineas after winning the Group 2 Netjets Railway Stakes.
