Bobbie Soxer to be a Bobbie Dazzler…

Thoughts turn to Epsom rather than today...

Monaadema drifted like its leg had fallen off yesterday from odds on to odds against on Betfair but ran well and was a good winner for Racing Diary. It was a pretty quiet day yesterday but the Jockey bookings for the Derby announced by Ballydoyle were the highlight of the day. Fame and Glory has drifted for The Derby, good! Keep the faith!

With Epsom only a couple of days away and with all eyes on the Derby and Oaks it is hard to entertain the moderate cards we have on offer today. But we must!

There really is not very much that we can excited about today. Bobbie Soxer (7.40) is the only interest  today. She was a good winner at Leicester under Eddie Ahern and though she ran out a four lengths victor I thought that there was plenty  more in reserve, a view which I must share with her trainer John Dunlop who runs the 3 year-old under a penalty. The 6 furlongs at Ripon will be a much stiffer test than that at Leicester but should really not be a problem for this well bred and inform filly from a stable which is starting to hit form. After a poor start Dunlop is turning in the winners. All the boxes are ticked!
