Top Class Northern sprinter Borderlescott will make his seasonal reappearance in the stanjames.com Palace House Stakes at Newmarket on Saturday.
Robin Bastiman trains the seven-year-old and won the re-arranged Nunthorpe Stakes (from York) at Newmarket last Season, and reports the gelding to be in good order for his comeback. Pat Cosgrave was on board last season and would love to keep the ride.
“He’s more forward than we had him last year, he’s done a little bit more work, we’ve been preparing for this race as he looks well suited by the weights. He is well in himself, but sadly we’ve had a couple get muck on their lungs, so we’ll get him scoped as a precaution but should be OK”
