Patkai laid down a marker for the Ascot Gold Cup at Royal Ascot by absolutely slaughtering his rivals in the Group Three Woodcote Stud Sagaro Stakes, no surprise to us as we predicted just that!
The four-year-old was sent off the 2-5 favourite and won like a certainty!
We also laid Tungsten Strike who was one of three lays for us to lose today. Our betting advice has paid some dividends and we are now looking forward to the 2000 Guineas on Saturday and the 1000 Guineas on Sunday.
Then The Derby and then Royal Ascot. Patkai must now figure for the Royal Ascot Gold Cup after that! Yeats disappointed on Sunday, but teh ground did not suit him and could stand in teh way of Patkai adding teh Gold Cup to the Queen’s Vase he won at Royal Ascot last year.
Still, much to look forward to!
