Todays Premiership matches look fairly predictable and that means that accumulators and win-lose-draw bets are the order of the day. It is difficult to find value, but it is also difficult to contemplate a Saturday without an interest in the outcome of the Priemiership games so I like to get creative!
I sometimes use the Alphabet system for these types of bet, where I pick the six most predictable matches and then the top 3 bets form a Patent, the bottom 3 matches form a second Patent and the central four selections form a Yankee. Finally there is an accumulator across the whole six selections.
The Patents are 3 singles, 3 doubles and a treble for each patent – 7 bets each. The Yankee is 6 doubles, 4 trebles and a 4 game accumulator – 11 bets total. Add in the final 6 part accumulator and there are a total of 26 bets, hence the alphabet name.
The one game that does attract our attention and will not form part of any alphabet is the Stoke Vs Newcastle game where there may be money for Shearer, to notch up his first success as Newcastle manager, creating some value in the market which we love to leverage! But we like the look of Stoke at home and would be laying the Newcastle win. We would be interested to hear anybody else’s thoughts on today’s games and welcome comments below.
